I remember from my first visit to India in 1968 how, when the train came into a station, teas in small clay cups were served through the train windows. I was astonished that everyone threw their cups on the railway track after drinking their tea. Anyway, this video seems to show how the cups are made. It comes as quite a shock, in our luxurious west, to see how much labour is put into these throwaway clay cups, probably for almost no pay.
Wow. Cute little cups and a lot of work from these beautiful people. I would have liked to see the fire. They also breathe in a lot of dust from the coal and dung. Blessings to all ❤❤❤
Cleaner for nature? See how much work and materials for a single use? I’m having a hard time understanding how they are in any way better than paper cups.
So much hard work involved in making kulhad the natural and safe tea cup to drink or eat anything out of it. Hope it replaces plastic and paper cups! Hats off to these hard working people who make them 🙏🙏 I only wish if people who use these clay cups to drink or eat food in it do not throw them away and a solution is arrived at to clean them and reuse them. I do the same for simple clay Diyas for Deepavali feel it’s necessary to preserve nature as lot of resources involved in preparing them. I do not know if we shall get back the clay or mitti used to prepare them forever. If it’s possible to once again recycle them to produce new tea cups would be great!
Cannot happen. Once fired you cannot use that material to make cups again. It is grossly misleading to pretend these cups are the better option for single use containers
Do the people in these countries have tables? Why do they do everything on the floor while squatting? Like everything from cooking to making anything and everything is done in the floor??
This is really hard work, but still they r paid nothing much it's so sad the once who r supposed to be raised r put down and have to struggle all through their lives,
