Jeżeli chcesz zobaczyć najstarsze ciągle używane organy w Polsce to wejdź do renesansowego kościoła farnego w Kazimierzu. /1620 r/
Wspaniale oddałaś piękno i klimat tego cudownego zakątka Polski.
    Wspaniałych dalszych wrażeń. 🤗🤗

Hi there Nynke. It's me again.😁I visited Kazimierz just a few weeks ago.The only turn-offs were billions of cars and overcrowded parking-lots but Kazimierz itself is mind-blowing.😁

So nice to see that you reached Kazimierz Dolny without problems and that you are enjoying your time there. You seem to have particular love for Wisła (Vistula), the queem of all Polish rivers. And I understand that - I love her too.
Since in today's video you were all smiles, in return I'll take you on a virtual 'journey for one smile' back in time and share with you my memories of Kazimierz Dolny (and Poland) from my childhood.
'Podróż za jeden uśmiech' -> 'A journey for one smile' is a book written in 1964 by Adam Bahdaj, the famous Polish writer of fabulous books for children and youth. The book tells the story of Poldek and Duduś, two teenage boys who are supposed to be taken to their mothers for a holiday in Międzywodzie (a small town at the Baltic sea coast), but due to various circumstances they have to get from Warsaw to the seaside on their own. Moreover, they lose money from the very beginning, so they decide to get there by hitchhiking after all.
Based on this book, in 1971 Polish director Stanisław Jędryka made a 7-part TV series. The action of part 2 of the series takes place entirely in Kazimierz Dolny. This film can be viewed here:
    th-cam.com/video/NMs0bK4CgN8/w-d-xo.html
In the opening scene of the film we see a goat that wakes Poldek and Duduś who lay asleep in a haystack in the courtyard of the ruined castle, a place you already know well. The action of the movie takes us then to the tower hill, the streets of Kazimierz Dolny and the banks of the Vistula, along almost the same route that you took and showed us in your today's video. This movie shows Kazimierz Dolny as it used to be back in 1971 and as I remember it from these days (back then I was the same age as Poldek and Duduś).
Believe me, this old movie is worth spending 29 minutes of your life to watch it. And not only for the views, but also for its witty, cheerful and very easy to understand dialogues. The only two terms which I heard in the film and which you may not be familiar with are 'kolonie' -> 'summer camp for schoolchildren' and 'Szwajcaria Kaszubska' - this is a geographic region in northern Poland located south-west of Tricity (i.e. cities of Gdańsk, Gdynia and Sopot). Other than those, you should be able to understand everything - the film was made for children and its characters are played mostly by children, hence the language used therein is simple.
As part of your studying of Polish, try to get hold of and read Adam Bahdaj's books, you will enjoy them immensely. 'Podróż za jeden uśmiech', 'Kapelusz za sto tysięcy' -> 'A hat for one-hundred thousand (zł)', 'Stawiam na Tolka Banana' -> 'I bet on Tolek Banan', 'Wakacje z duchami' -> 'Vacation with ghosts', 'Do przerwy 0:1' -> '0:1 at half-time' - these are the readings of my childhood, written in a funny and simple, but top-notch Polish language.
Oh, and maybe you and your friend could go on a camper trip to the Baltic Sea in the footsteps of Poldek and Duduś? Just a thought. Uściski! 🥰🤗

Hi, you should see the film "Dwa księżyce". The action takes place in prewar Kazimierz. The year 1930. As every year, artists, intellectuals and vacationers come to Kazimierz on the Vistula. They meet local townspeople, peasants, merchants and Jews. Animosions are born, but also friendships and attempts at understanding. Each of the seventeen episodes relates to a different person. They are connected by the figure of a blind man, Michał, who in his journey meets other heroes of the film

go to Three Crosses Hill / Góra Trzech Krzyży , a must-go place in Kazimierz.. and also visit Mięćmierz, a small fisher village south of Kazimierz, you can take a walk there via one of the gorges, by the cemetery, just start from Cmentarna street and follow the green trail route.

Somewhere on TH-cam, and it should be easy to find because I just searched, there's instructional videos on how to caption your TH-cam videos in more than one language.
I would love to hear how things go with Monika. I think I am subscribed to like nine different people who are trying to teach Polish on TH-cam. Of course everyone has a different approach. Even the books that I bought back in 1985, each one had a different approach. And right now I can only find one of them. So frustrating. But it was both easier and harder in the days before the internet.
It's easier when you can hear people speaking. And easier when they put the words up on the screen while they're speaking. I found this great audiobook of Everyday Polish but it's just an audiobook and there are no printed words, so it's not so helpful, really.
And it's harder because there's less time. So many more things to read and look at and watch. So many more things I'm interested in.
Back in 1985 I was so obsessed. Okay it was only 10 months before I gave up banging my head into the wall. The prepositions did me in. I gave up. But it seems so many of those words are still in my head. Not the grammar. Not the cases. And I've lost track of which are masculine feminine and neuter. But I spend a lot of time reading TH-cam comments and then trying to figure out what they say before I hit the translate button. And then sometimes I do other things. It depends on my energy level.
I noticed today I was so focused on trying to pronounce whatever building it was, that I was not looking at the building. So I had to rewind.
Yesterday I spent some time on the Ukrainian Independence Day. Of course I could have watched that one with the history, but I just saved it, and watched the speech with the video of the little girl, twice.
And I think I hurt my ankle some, chasing Willow around the yard trying to get her back into the duck house before the storm started. And then the storm was like 5 minutes. But she's 8 years old and her feathers aren't always as well oiled as they should be. I don't want her to get cold and die like Snuggles did when she was 9. She took a bath and then I just couldn't get her warm. And I had my hands around her when she died. Snuggles was a house duck. Willow is an outdoor duck. She's always hiding in the duck house because she used to hang out with Seven until he died last year, and the new boy, Shadow, he chases her around and picks at her. So she's always trying to get away from him. The next oldest duck is only 4 years old. The younger ones tend to pick on her. Not just Shadow. We did finally get her in but it took two of us. There are too many things in the yard for her to run in circles around so that we can't catch her. Of course if we waited till sunset she would have gone in all by herself. All of them do. It's just when we want them in early that we have to fight with them

Chamskie podejście do przyjezdnech i wymyślne sposoby aby pozbawić turystę pieniędzy.Miasteczko ciekawe ale władze miasta powinny zadbać o infrastrukturę i nie powinny pozwalać na takie praktyki
