Oh wow! Bolink used to be a top contender on the carpet world. That V8 I remember reading when I was a kid, in some magazine that a kid would read, maybe Radio Control Action, a seller for a V8 blueprint. It seemed as if it would be operational. Maybe that was what it would turn out like? I always had wished it was the actual engine! Oh well, there aren’t any swap meets where I live. Road trip.

I wish my local tracks or RC clubs would do more swap meets my last one I bought a couple Sanwa RX482 receivers one of which I know was practically brand new for the price of one new receiver (I personally knew the seller and his gear so 🤷♂️) he had just upgraded to the new M17 and selling off the older gear along with his old M12 case and all. Basically if you don’t need the newest greatest definitely deals to be had at swap meets unlike eBay or FB market place etc you can see what you’re buying and inspect it first hand and negotiate prices for the seller cash in hand is a wonderful thing with no PayPal or eBay fees.

How do you go about finding local RC swap meets? I don't have a Facebook or anything. Didn't know if there is another way to find some in my area.

Yup... transponders are about $100 used or new. If you ever find a race car being sold with a transponder just know... its worth at least $100... hahah

I went to Amains swap meet on the 1st of June got a Maverick XB need shocks and shock tower cost about $8.00 to fix XB cost $80.oo Redcat gen-7 for $100.00 Axail Nittos and chrome rims Assoc xp3ss with receiver for $20.00 vxl-5 for $10.00. was a good day

Why can’t I ever find good deals. My town has nothing rc related so only way I get an rc is if it’s full price. That’s why I only have a slash
You need to look for the new arrmas and the redcat clawback 1/5 scale 4ws.
If he's a hard core racer, arrma probably isn't what he wants. Great bashers, but a bit sloppy for racing. Then again, looking at his videos, he runs a lot of traxxas too. So guess he does more than race. :)
