Hi Kejvincika , we're sorry to hear that. Are the fruit and vegetables prices reasonable? We were amazed that you could get cherries for 2EUR/kg, in Australia they are 10-15EUR+/kg!
@@BucketListTravellers Well, not gonna lie, prices are cheap for fruits. They’re not that expensive. Bcs Albania is an agricultural country. But for other groceries, i wouldnt say that.
Wow... looks affordable... what you spent on groceries for a week is amazing anywhere in the world let alone Europe. Food looked divinely inspired too. Would like to see more food of this destination for sure, and even a bit of nightlife too. Thanks JJs.
Bro im telling you bro don't trust anything they are saying bro, I live in albania and not a single person is nice, like not even the police and not even the doctors, our country was twice as big as Russia today , and since other country's got jealous and stole almost 98%of our land and now here people just want money bro, trust me man I live in albanian and it's hell bro, like not even shcools have cafeteria,
So affordable, so tasty! We'll have plenty to share. We didn't see too much of the nightlife, other than restaurants with live entertainment, but that was still nice! Thanks for watching Indian!
@@BucketListTravellers well I hope you enjoyed your trip but for someone from the UK to take a trip to albania it looks cheap but being born on albania is not cheap bcuz you start off with a job that pays like 45.000 lek (45 dollars) per month and that's almost the best payment you can get by working at a job, so if you where born in albania it's hard but if you where born in the UK and traveling to albania it looks cheap, the mount of money the thing cost you have to work at least for 3 months in albania to afford it, it's like living in the richest country and traveling to the cheapest country, that's the best way I can describe your experience but I know that our country is not the only one like that
@@BucketListTravellers I will watch more of your Albania videos. Hello from Slovenia. we have similar stories, launching a channel during corona, one country for 18 months and really diving deep into that place.
@MorAcro Thank you! Ah that’s so cool. You are doing very well! We would love to explore more of Slovenia. It is such a beautiful country and very underrated!
Hi Justin! We didn't experience any smoking on the buses, so don't think so, however smoking is quite prevalent in Albania and other East European countries. You are not supposed to smoke in restaurants but people do it anyway. How are you going? Were you impacted by the Taiwan earthquake?
@@BucketListTravellers I'm so allergic to smoke and it's getting worse with time. We're not impacted by the quakes as we live on the Southwest side of the island. The eastern side however has much to contend with as a major bridge was collapsed and some building fell. Good to hear there have been no casualties.
@@Justin_Leah Glad to hear you are both ok. Yeah we can't stand the smell of smoke and unfortunately it was something we had to tolerate in Europe, particularly the Balkans and Greece. In Greece, it was common to have Airbnbs that allowed smoking.
Hi Mary Jo, yes we can remember at least one couple in the capital of Tirana and they sounded like US tourists, as well as a couple of people in Shkoder. However, the vast majority of people in Albania that you will come across are white.
Hi Paula, the only place in Albania that we would consider skipping is Durres. There are nicer beachside destinations on the Albanian Riviera. However it is a historical city, so if you like ruins then it is worth a look in.
@@paulasanford1228 All good! Oooh now that is a tougher question! If we had to choose some of our least favourite countries that we have visited then it would have to be Brunei (not much to do) and Honduras (Jay got bitten by a dog there).
We're sorry to hear you've had that experience. During our time in Albania, we were fortunate to meet many friendly people, but we understand that everyone's experience can be different. We hope that overall, you still have a lot to love about your home country-it’s such a beautiful place with so much history and culture! Thanks for watching! 😊
Just came back from Albania, it is prob one of the most expensive countries tries i have visited so far. Tirana, the capital of Albania is a joke. If they think they belong to EU they are being delusional, starting from peoples mentality on the road and ending it with prices that change constantly. If you can, avoid Tirana all together and concentrate on south of Albania where you can find absolutely amazing nature. Keep in mind thst you will run out if things to do quickly in Albania, as i.e. Corfu is able to offer 5x more for the same price. It was interesting journey to Albania, but i cant recommend it to anyone ;).
Hi there, thanks for watching and leaving a comment. We are very fascinated by your comments about Albania being one of the most expensive countries to visit. We visited back in 2022 after travelling through Spain, France, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia and Montenegro. We then travelled to Corfu after Albania. At the time, Albania was definitely the cheapest, from accommodation to food. There must have been an enormous rate of inflation there over the last two years. At the time, locals were telling us that the cost of living was pretty tough and that a large number of young people move to different countries for better work opportunities. We agree with you that the south of Albania is beautiful.

I’m albanian, and yeah for foreigners these prices are affordable. But for locals, they’re expensive asf. And i’m not even exaggerating.
