For my hunting dogs ( Hounds ) I had to bury my fence wire 18 ins down into the dirt. The old timers told me to do it like that, but did I listen.....No. So I had to pay to build it twice.
Thank God your great doggie parents!! Im not fond of snakes!! When I was little kid a snake came out of the creek and chased me for awhile!! Poor little girl!! Hope she feels better soon!! Hate to see them down like that all curled up and sad!! Sending blessings to her!! Anthony your so funny explaining the matting time with "Roger the rabbit!! It made me chuckle!! Looking forward for the big day maybe February 25th!! ❤ Mamma Carolyn
Anthony, I was brought up in Springfield, Mo., and Dad used to get "pea-gravel, which is like river gravel and much smoother. Easier for the pets to walk on or lay on. AND it was cheaper than the 1/4" clean. The dog run doesn't need that pristine look of the white gravel! Hope that helps! ❤❤
We used the pea for our dogs potty area, it was great. Trained them from an older dog and a puppy to use the area, was great to keep everything contained in one area.
Anthony can you build the dogs a big dog house like Mel and Gary have for there dog a. You can use pallets . Maybe that might help them stay in . ❤ dang dogs 🐕. Peace ☮️ out ❤
My brother bought artificial turf for his dog run. Easy to lay, easy to clean up the dog poop and you just wash it down using the hose pipe and an outdoor yard brush.
Ant your so funny at how you described Roger and his antics. Like humping Snow Ball.. So he squealed and helt on like life. I love it. Sorry about the dog getting bit by something. Glad the swelling has gone down and drained puss. Good luck on hopefully new bunnies by February 28 or so.
Poor puppers! Hopefully, it heals up fast! I had a male cat that was getting huge abscesses on his face and I couldn't figure out what he was getting into. Turns out, he was playing with scorpionsand red wasps. I was quite shocked to learn that insect stings can swell up like snake bites. Im crossing my fingers that yall have baby bunnies late next month!
Here is another thought to consider, Cmon has found some areas that is totally rocky area. He was digging for rocks to repair the stream washout areas, what he was leaving behind was the pea-gravel. If he were to put a scoop in Gary's Biggie, and a scoop or two in your trailor, wouldn't that be enough for your dog run? Talk it over with David, I would just bet he can help you! You would probably have to shovel it to unload it, but free is free! ❤❤
That pole barn has been used a lot, worth every penny! I have an idea what you are going to do with the pole barn and if it's what I think, it would be great. You guys have a beautiful place. Oh my, I hope you have bunnies this time would be fun watching Roger!!!❤❤❤
look into apis mellifica for bites and stings hives allergic reactions and inflammation. Arnica montana for injuries, bruises, pain, springs and wounds also headaches. I use the first one when my dogs decide to play with bees and get stung. I use the other one to help with pain when she hurt her paw. 😊
We have a sweet ole Australian cattle dog 17, facing elder problems!! New eye infection took us back to the vet ..a cut on her cornea …lingering even with treatments so we just put colloidal silver gel in a bit ago and she seems to be opening up and this old time healing solution is once again trumping the new pharma !!!❤❤️ correct..sometimes it takes antibiotics ! Hope the swelling and ingestion goes down!!
Pea gravel - not driveway gravel. It's easy on their feet and not bad to lay down on - actually, my dog likes to lay on it in the summer. Like having a sauna. I have it all around my sheds ( this is the area my dog picked to do her business). It also is not difficult to pick up their poop. You may get a few pieces of pea gravel but not much. Besides, they will not be walking in their pee and will soak down into the ground.
I love hearing the rain on your metal roof! I hope Maura feels better after getting bitten. Poor baby! Great job Anthony! you had me cracking up when you were describing Roger do the deed! It’s definitely going to happen he just needs practice LOL
Pea gravel sounds best for the dog run. Home Depot sells bags (1 cubic ft) for less than $1 per bag so a smaller amount would be reasonable. If you get a full load you can use it in the garden area with weed barrier, that would make up keep on the garden easier.
I know this sounds crazy but I will throw it out there anyway. My husband was a welder and he got his eyes flah burnt a few times and we put raw graded potato on it. Potato draws so it could help draw out infection. So anyway keep it clean and the potato thing is an old home remedy
My mother got a rusty nail in her eye as a child, my grandmother used a potato to draw out the debris and it worked beautifully and her vision was completely fine. Good suggestion!
Good morning Rox and Ant, I bet your new eavestroughs are doing a good job, that was money well spent I think. Your place is looking fantastic, love it. Take care and keep warm. Good luck Roger!! 👍👍❤️❤️🇨🇦
Great vibe today. Thanks for sharing. Hope Mora feels better soon. Anthony you telling the story of the rabbits had me laughing. Well maybe there will be babies before you know it. I think Roger got it right this time. The rabbits were young so maybe they are ready now. Good luck. Have a great day✌️🥰🇺🇸
Omg I almost choke on my sandwich as Anthony was describing Roger’s ecstasy 😂. Love the sound of the rain as it hits the tin roof . Love you guys stay safe and warm. Hope Maura feels better soon❤️
🙋hi guys on Diyferent he used sand to help with mud and it worked REALLY well grass grows through it.. it would be great on trails.. Maybe a brown recluse..bite her❓
Sorry to hear about Mora, that's the thing with outside dogs, you never know what bit them, unless you actually see it. I know how you are about your animals so have no worries that you take care of them. Oh boy, lets hope Roger has done the deed! Sounds like he did, maybe he just wasn't ready the 1st time around! LOL Nice description Anthony! LOL Love hearing the rain on metal.
😜🤣🤣🤣 That was hilarious! Would have been so funny to see! Years ago I was riding with a friend and she slammed on the brakes because 2 rabbits ran across the street right in front of us! Those rabbits actually stopped right in the middle of the road, right in front of her car, and did the thumpity thump!!! Then, they finished crossing the road! We looked at each other like...Did that just really happen!? We laughed so hard for hours that day! 🐇🐇😜🤣😱
Great video, hope you all get some baby bunny's. Ant.you are so funny. I shall not say more. You did a good job explaining though. The expression on Roxs face while you were describing how things went to me was priceless also .love you both and your channel. Have a great day, hope Janna gets to feeling better also. Byeeee! For now. Catch you both on the next one.❤❤❤😊😊😊👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
What about a truck load of mulch? That could be used (and it breaks down over time) in both the dog run and also around the garden (to make some paths). In the garden, it would likely help with weeds too! Just a thought.
Good afternoon ☔hope dog bite will heal alright 🙏 we've had rain every day here in Western Pennsylvania also - at least cleans car 💦 Have a nice weekend 😊
Anthony I buy Fishmox for my dogs from Tractor Supply and I keep it on hand for times when they need an antibiotic! It’s a form of amoxicillin hence the “mox” part of the name! It’s perfectly safe for all animals! Also I would recommend that you use pea-gravel for the dog pen! It’s much more softer on their paws and you’ll be able to pick up their mess alot easier!
I have a toy Poodle, Maltipoo, Yorkie and 3 cats! Runny nose-calling the vet. Rash/cough/tummy problems/limping-going to the vet. Snake/spider bite-calling 911! Lmao 🤣 ! Yes, I’m that furbaby mom! 😂
I don’t know what the cost is per dump truck but it seems with all the continuing work that eventually you would be able to use all the gravel. I would consider weed barrier in the garden space with gravel over it. That would eliminate the need for weed whacking and mowing. Just a thought.
I have seen the use of weed barrier but weeds still establish despite it. The main advantage is that you can pull them as their root system is above the weed barrier. If they are ignored they penetrate the barrier and make it so difficult to pull weeds. I found that out when renting, previous tenants used it but didn’t weed. The other thing is that it holds moisture close and with the warmth of mulch, stone etc it provides a great place for termites, it did in my area. Just something to think about.
What about putting the black landscape paper down first to cover all the mud, then put mulch down. it would be a lot easier to clean up the dog poop and I believe mulch would be cheaper than gravel and more comfortable for the dogs.
Once your doe makes her bed don't add new more bedding it may cause her to abandon her nest she will pull more hair if she feels the need I think this is possibly what happened to Melony and Gary she added to the nest extra straw best to just let them grow for awhile
Maybe you can dig a 1ft wide 2 in thick concrete barrier around the whole dog run. Put it down about about 6 inches and cover it with dirt. This will prevent them from digging out
oh boy, you guys remind me of the first do hse i built 50 plus yrs ago. i butted it up to the corner of the run; and of course the first thing they did was j ump on the roof and popped out. for the door opening i put a piece of rug which was a rectangular sample from the rug store. they didnt desroy it and worked well. i put down 1/4 inch crushed stone. easy to pick up the poop w a garden rake. had garbage bag lined garbage bin lashed to a small hand truck and disposed of it in there.
Poor Maura. Hope she has fully recovered. Snakes can still come out especially if the rains fill up their burrows. Sounds like Roger had a Blast and hopefully Snowball is PG. Stay Safe and Dry. Love your videos every day.
Dude, Anthony! You had me blushing! I was walking on my treadmill and was blushing and trying to keep my wits about me so as not to fall off the treadmill! 😂😂😂
I wonder if buying bulk mulch chips at a local nursery might be a good option? It can be bought by the average truck load I believe. Plus it would break down over time and replenish nutrients back into the soil. Idk if that would be an option to y'all cost wise.
@donnab8010 I was thinking of the long-term use when they decide to add goats to the pen. Pea gravel gets embedded in their hooves and can cause hoof wall separation and bruising and makes it very difficult to clean goat pellet droppings. There are pros and cons to everything. Diatomaceous earth would be safe to use for pest control but would also need to be reapplied and would kill all crawling insects good and bad.
@@trinarock8643 - Thanks, I know nothing about goats. They could still keep ground covering differently since they are going the dogs/goats will be separated by a fence.
if it were me then i would use the section to divide it up because the section is already there, like left is gravel then there is the fence in the middle then the right is dirt. but thats me.
Gravel? For a dog pen potentially turned into a goat pen? Naw just put down grass and clover seed or leaves maybe gravel on top of the wire around the fence edging to keep down weeds and discourage digging .
New sub Sorry about the dog I hope you get better From what I could see you got a nice place We'll be watching more of you have a good day stay safe stay happy say healthy and catch another one

bpatton - pea gravel is perfect for dogs.
Pea-gravel also makes cleaning up after them much easier.
We used a liner under the gravel. To prevent weeds.
We used the pea for our dogs potty area, it was great. Trained them from an older dog and a puppy to use the area, was great to keep everything contained in one area.

I choked on my lunch because I’m dying laughing at Anthony describing Roger’s “happy ending “ 🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂😂 Roger found out what he’d been missing.
Ant, you had me laughing out loud when you were describing the bunny play time.
Greetings from Northeast Ohio. I don’t think I’ve ever heard Anthony laugh so loud as he did when he was imitating Roger. That was awesome.
I love the sound of rain on tin roofs. It reminds me of nights in a warm caravan.
I do too. It’s meditating.
Was wondering if you are from United Kingdom? I looooong to visit there one day!
My brother bought artificial turf for his dog run. Easy to lay, easy to clean up the dog poop and you just wash it down using the hose pipe and an outdoor yard brush.
Stay warm and poor Mora bless her heart ❤️
I was thinking pea gravel is nice and smooth and would be easy to walk or lay on. It would drain well and look natural.❤
Yes I agree
Ant your so funny at how you described Roger and his antics. Like humping Snow Ball.. So he squealed and helt on like life. I love it. Sorry about the dog getting bit by something. Glad the swelling has gone down and drained puss. Good luck on hopefully new bunnies by February 28 or so.
If you can get free metal hangers you can make your own spikes. I use them all the time for my irrigation system
Anthony that was a good description of Rogers performance. 😂😂
Poor puppers! Hopefully, it heals up fast! I had a male cat that was getting huge abscesses on his face and I couldn't figure out what he was getting into. Yes it’s raining here too but sure beats the snow. It’s a muddy mess here. Good idea on the wiring. Bentonite clay will extract the infection.
I love hearing the rain on your metal roof! I hope Maura feels better after getting bitten. Poor baby!

I love the sound of the rain on a tin roof.
Sounds like she is going to be fine, by the title, I thought Oh No, Roxanne got hurt. 😮 😊
I did too. I thought she slipped on the wet stairs coming to help Anthony when he was building the dog house. He left in the middle of the build.
hi guy,s oh my anthony u made me 😂😂😂 love the way u described the deed to us 😂😂😂 hope maura is better soon ❤❤❤❤
Absolutely adore both of you, such a hilarious couple had us all in stitches on behalf of roger’s deed 😂
Omg Ant, that was too funny, you describing Roger.
As rood as it may sound, I would like to watch that process. We haven't all raised rabbits, and most have no clue.
Truly hope there was a real success. Blessings
Stay dry, stay warm, and stay safe❤❤❤

You could extend the roof on the pole barn, like a garage.
Use regular human benedryal that you can buy over the counter at any store.
I would call a vet before giving any human medicine to an animal. Their kidneys and liver are much more sensitive than ours.
@@charlene5461 my vet recommended benedryl instead of paying for high dollar vet meds.
Sounds like Roger did the deed 😅 fingers crossed 🤞
You could put down a weed barrier in the garden area and gravel it so no weeds and no grass cutting and would look very nice .
Put cardboard boxes or heavy landscaping cloth on the ground in the dog pen and the put mulch on top of that.
❤❤❤❤❤❤

Hello PG Anthony, Hi Rox, LMBO describing Roger
Poor Maura. Hope she has fully recovered. Snakes can still come out especially if the rains fill up their burrows. Sounds like Roger had a Blast and hopefully Snowball is PG. Stay Safe and Dry. Love your videos every day.
I REGERSTERED...... I LOVE AMERICA. ❤❤❤❤
I love the sound of rain. Yeah I believe snowball is pg now. There's no need to put her back in with roger.
Dude, Anthony! You had me blushing! I was walking on my treadmill and was blushing and trying to keep my wits about me so as not to fall off the treadmill! 😂😂😂
Anthony, you cracked me up
Bricks along the fence. Might find free on craigslist
Awesome kind of day, but mood killer

Spiders love mulch. Not so much pea gravel.

Omg Anthony that’s hilarious I’ve never heard of that but I don’t know anything about mating rabbits and anyway I hope that it worked this time
if it were me then i would use the section to divide it up because the section is already there, like left is gravel then there is the fence in the middle then the right is dirt.
but thats me.
I also think the pea-gravel will be better for their paws. Love the build.

I really could not laughing as Anthoney was telling about the rabbits so funny amd his facial said it all stop kaughing

Did you said it’s free to register can’t hear you really good, because rain hitting the roof
So funny Anthony the description 😮
Oh yeah yeah, I'd like you to film it (members only maybe). Probably have lots of members!! I've got to shut up, you know I'm just kidding!❤
Get what they call screenings it compacts and gets real hard packed and would make for easier clean up for the dog pen
Lol you me in tears you was so funny about the rabbit lmao
Y'all need those 300 gallon water barrels for the rain y'all get so much of
