That’s how French chateaus are supposed to look. Back in the days when this architecture style was popular with the royalty in France it was considered a status symbol to have vast open spaces of perfectly manicured grass. It showed everyone that they were so wealthy they could afford to have unproductive land.

Dear non-Americans, bear in mind this house is in Denton County. Which means Dallas. And if you plan to make friends while living there they'll be coming from Dallas. Which means you won't have friends if you don't keep up standards of wealth and appearances. Dallas people can be unforgiving if you don't maintain what is expected. Dallas is great and awesome but hard-core and demanding.

The roofing also looks nothing like anything in France… and the exterior is missing the incredibly stone detail that defines late Renaissance / baroque architecture. It’s extremely obvious that this was built recently. Why spend $50M on this just to skip on hiring the best craftsmen to do their best work?
Not to my taste. Watching TH-cam videos of Real estate makes you realise what might or might not work for you.

Personal residences beyond 12000 sf should be forbidden. They are excessive and are a waste of resources and electricity, if not solar. They are usually far more difficult to sell and sometimes they don't sell leaving it to waste away or have to be torn down. High square footage houses should be taxed at triple the millage rate past 12000sf and for every 2000 sf add x1 the millage rate.
