Funny story about a trip to Europe, my sister realized that her cat peed in her luggage when her luggage was delivered to our cruise cabin, that suitcase cruised on the balcony throughout the med but we also discovered it peed on her clothes and was first noticeable when in Venice elevator with a group of people going to the top of the tower... it was so embarrassing when everyone in the elevator you could here all the sniffing of noses. After that I kept my distance from my sister until she had all her clothes washed. LOL Cats don't like it when you leave!

I was in a highway rest stop on the French highway about 15 years ago and don't remember it being that good - apparently rest stops everywhere [including th US] are upping their game. Hi, was the roadside stop in Brittany? When in Brittany last year desperately looking for a stop we were told the reason for there being no toll / autoroutes and roadside stops was because way back in 1532 Anne de Bretagne abdicated Brittany to France through her marriage to King Charles VIII upon the condition that no toll shall ever be levied on either road or bridge. Thus almost 500 years later it’s impossible to find a decent stop of the kind found everywhere else across France. If it’s not true it’s a good story… M&R
The rest stops/gas stations in my county (Finland) are also basically supermarkets/cafés/fast food restaurants/clothing stores, too, nowadays! F1 is an interesting sport, my countrymen excel in it... (Mika Häkkinen, Kimi Räikkönen, Nico Rosberg - whose father is also a famous Finnish driver), Heikki Kovalainen... there's so many.)
I think I. Ight have been in that same restaurant stop last year. Almost bought the yellow rain jacket cause I liked it better than the one I brought on the trip! First experienced European rest stops 10 years ago on the Italy trip! My goodness!!! Then the sophistication of France is outstanding. just returned from Spain and found the rest stops almost up there too…clothes, gifts, food! South a difference from the US
French guy here 😃You must admit that you pick up one of the fanciest rest stop of the country with a mini supermarket in it. Cause, according to most of French people, food and coffee on rest stops are usually below average and prices are usually really high ( around 50% more exprensive than in a normal store). In Paris nobody refers to Westfield when we talk about this mall, it's just "Les Halles", because the mall replaces the old biggest fresh food market of Paris names "Les Halles de Paris".
I made the mistake of watching this video without my contact lenses and thought there were a bunch of cats in the field at 6:18. I was unsurprised by the number of them 😂
Went to Paris for my only trip to Europe (so far) in 2012 with two girlfriends. Best trip ever, thanks for the reminder of my favorite city.😊 Oh, I don’t believe Lincoln was too lonely, not with beer, animals and a beautiful homestead! 🎉
Your vlog inspired me to see if I could find a French deli in Philadelphia. Being a former New Yorker I have never adjusted to the non-international customs in PHL. Not one. PHL is the most uncultured city I have ever lived in. On top of everything else, they have no taste buds here. Must drive to NY if I really want GOOD food. Haven't been to France in a while. I did go regularly when my friend, Christian Bodiguel, was the head chef on the Orient Express. Ate at his home regularly. One night he prepared 4 different entrees that he served on train. Meal started at 8pm and ended at 4am. Calvados in between, new wine with each meal. Don't remember too much after that. Unfortunately, he passed away at 68 in 2019. He spoiled my taste buds for the rest of my life. Really enjoy all your vlogs. Thanks. Jane, Philadelphia

Oh dear, stinky suitcase. Who needs a litter box when you have a suitcase! Many years ago we lived in an apartment with a separate laundry. It was up and down stairs and a bit of a walk. I had just finished washing all of the bed linens, comforter and all and made the bed. I turned away for a few seconds when I saw the cat run out of the room. She peed on the bed, and it went right through. We had to buy a new mattress afterward. The joy of pets! We love them, though. Lincoln, drowning his sorrows, was hilarious. That was a neat rest stop. The mall is amazing. I won't go in malls. I have a fear I wouldn't make it out if something happened. It is always nice to see the countryside and Paris from different videos. I always love your videos, especially your humor.❤

You made driving through Paris seem not that bad. I've avoided it like the plague, taxi rides make me think it's awful to drive there. Funny (at least in retrospect) about that cat! Very nice oak beams. I just came back from a drive down to the Berry region (Indre et Creuse departments), and you're right about those rest stops!
Yes, the coffee stations in those stops are amazing, even too much choice! I bought one of those Bretagne rain jackets with the striped cotton lining, it comes in extremely handy in those Irish downpours. And I even found and bought a book about aromatherapy, my profession, in one of those stops!
Good grief! We must have been practically standing next to one another when taking photos of the mounted horse brigade last Monday. That was something to see. It was such a nice day. Did you notice almost half the riders were female? Would have been great fun to meet you and say hello.😊
Your videos are always so beautiful. France really is so vivid and pretty in spring. Can’t wait to see the continuation of work being done on the cottage. There is another young couple who remind me of you and Lincoln, working on their own to rebuild their chateau and gardens, called “Growing in France”. Love your road trip, I am always amazed by gas stations in Europe. Interesting to see prices too. Paris looked lovely, but I think the best part was poor Lincoln suffering at home. I am amazed he and Enzo and Guava survived. They looked pretty down and out. PS kitty just did not want you to go! AKA loves you.
Yeah, I didn't realize that gold crowns were still being made. Our dentist said they last longer than a regular porcelain crown. And they are cheaper. So, you might start looking like Captain Jack Sparrow. That wouldn't be all bad...😆🤭 Liked the video. Always good. Nice to see around Paris and what they offer. Your French rest stop reminded me of Buc-ee’s, a Texas based chain that is slowly creeping across the southeastern US.

My Husband and I still talk about how great the Vending machine coffee was at the Total Rest Stops! Probably 20 years ago.

You made driving through Paris seem not that bad. I've avoided it like the plague, taxi rides make me think it's awful to drive there. Funny (at least in retrospect) about that cat! Very nice oak beams. I just came back from a drive down to the Berry region (Indre et Creuse departments), and you're right about those rest stops!
Yes, the coffee stations in those stops are amazing, even too much choice! I bought one of those Bretagne rain jackets with the striped cotton lining, it comes in extremely handy in those Irish downpours. And I even found and bought a book about aromatherapy, my profession, in one of those stops!
Good grief! We must have been practically standing next to one another when taking photos of the mounted horse brigade last Monday. That was something to see. It was such a nice day. Did you notice almost half the riders were female? Would have been great fun to meet you and say hello.😊
Your videos are always so beautiful. France really is so vivid and pretty in spring. Can’t wait to see the continuation of work being done on the cottage. There is another young couple who remind me of you and Lincoln, working on their own to rebuild their chateau and gardens, called “Growing in France”. P.S. I volunteered at the Big Cat Rescue Augmented Reality Zoo, at a Westfield Mall in Plantation, Florida.. I had NO idea Westfield was that huge!!!

Love your road trip, I am always amazed by gas stations in Europe. Interesting to see prices too. Paris looked lovely, but I think the best part was poor Lincoln suffering at home. I am amazed he and Enzo and Guava survived. They looked pretty down and out. PS kitty just did not want you to go! AKA loves you.
Yeah, I didn't realize that gold crowns were still being made. Our dentist said they last longer than a regular porcelain crown. And they are cheaper. So, you might start looking like Captain Jack Sparrow. That wouldn't be all bad...😆🤭 Liked the video. Always good. Nice to see around Paris and what they offer. Too funny video of Lincoln and his drinking...😆🤭 We've had our cats sit in our luggage, but never peed in it.. They must really be mad you're leaving.
