I said this in the description, but I want to say it here too. Please note, everything the Digsite team has been working recently on has recently leaked, from Halo 1999 all the way up to cut Halo 3 missions and onward. This means these mods/builds will more than likely never see an official release. I also wanted to give a HUGE shoutout to all of the Digsite team members. They have been a godsend for the Halo community with the content they have provided us over the last several years. From cut content to the restoration of the Halo 2 E3 Demo, it's been a wild ride. It's a shame MS/343/HS could not pay them or come to better terms to keep them around, but I will be forever grateful for what they have provided during their time working on Halo. Thank you!
@@RANDOMPEPSIBOTTLES According to what I read online so far. they all originally agreed this would be a volunteer position. But after the success of the Halo 2 E3 demo Microsoft wanted more content of the same quality, but many of the Digsite team members were putting in the hours of a full time job to support this project. Some of them said they would have continued work if they were paid, but it eventually became too much to do for free.
The first Halo, even in demo form, has a warm and inviting feeling to it. Maybe for how innovative it was, or how mysterious the world is. Like the swamp environment the developers were working on, that eventually became 343 Guilty Spark.
I'm pretty sure speartest is actually the E3 2000 build, though it does have the Macworld assets in there. It also comes with some dev tools so you could even create your own levels in this build if you wanted.
Whelp this is what Microsoft gets for not paying the digsite team after releasing the Halo 2 E3 demo. Oh they agreed to work voluntarily, but after spending so much time on something, youd think that theyd actually convince Moneysoft to pay them to put out more big mods like that. Nope. And none of the digsite team really leaked this cuz that would break NDA. This honestly has to be from a higher up that doesnt want the community to have anything to do with the franchise development anymore.
I'm trying to find additional content on other Halo games, but I haven't had much time to dig around for it. Seems you need to know someone who has it, as it isn't readily available. If I can get my hands on some of it I'll be sure to show it off!
Wow, the Macworld warthog, I've always wanted to get a good look at it, thanks. I recall when the Digsite team released their Macworld-style map they swapped out all of the stock sound effects for copyright reasons, I'm guessing this leak contains all of the original sound effects?
Sad that the key developers in the Digsite Collective had to leave the project for legit reasons of working conditions (i.e. they worked for free, without any payment from Microsoft nor 343 Industries...). :-/
It's out there on the internet, but I'm not going to provide a link since it wasn't officially released and don't want to get into trouble for distributing it.
So we have seen some of this content make its way to MCC, like the Crash Site level for example. But this the original 1999 build running on it's own, not in MCC

They weren't paid at all??

Classic Microsoft.
No wonder they're in third place.🙂↔️
did not expect the entire halo extended universe to leak on Christmas 😂
You and me both lol

3:53 LMAO Halo had the first emotes 🤣

If this is everything out there this situation is the best outcome. Microsoft would not have released even quarter of the stuff we have now.
Ok now this year was definitely full of Juicy stuff for halo
Enjoy it while you can, seems like this is the last bit we're gonna get
Thanks for posting. Can you do a video on halo reach m40, halo 3 forerunner city, or anything else interesting?

how were you switching perspectives?
Pretty sure it is the "~" key.
@xXBarthXx thanks! I did find out like an hour ago it was "/"

Shitty and all but they’re volunteers, not workers
@@alejandrovillagra678if youre going to make them work full time you better pay them
I like how the graphics looks like Black & White (that good & evil God game)
Makes sense since Halo was an RTS before they switched to third person in this build.
I've always wanted a third-person option in Halo. It's a damn shame they didn't add it in MCC.
100gb size? is that mean to get more maps around the ring
No it's only about 120MB
@@xXBarthXx ahh
The entire leak of Digsite assets is around 81gb.
@@icantthinkofagoodusername4464 Oh yeah the whole thing is larger, but the 1999/2000 E3 files are smaller.
This is the REAL CHRISTMAS PRESENT 😂
Better late than never lol
Where can i download this?

HOLY CRAP!!!!
im confused. havent we seen most of this released already?

@@xXBarthXx oh ok thanks for the informaton
