@@GGO89 yes, it’s more spacious than the RS3 for sure, but it’s not a big car after all. If you opted in for the cupra performance bucket seats with full carbon on the back they scratch way to easily. A toddler sitting behind you might damage it within a few minutes!
My shortlist before making my decision: Audi RSQ3 Audi RS3 Audi RS5 BMW M340i BMW X3 M340i Cupra Formentor VZ5 Last Edition. Tested all of them thoroughly, compared assembly quality and materials used, compared technology and of course, price. Formentor won overall. Never took 1st place in any category except price but it was either the runner-up or top 3 in each section. It's literally the best all rounder
I think you are refering to the Brembo brakes which are an option on the other Formentor versions. Totally different brakes on the VZ5, Akebono brakes (6 piston calipers)
This car is the reason ill NEVER buy another seat or Cupra after owning many. How dare they not sell the 5 cylinder in the UK. The UK is one their biggest customers. SEAT/CUPRA can do one. I suggest more brits do the same. Total disrespect
It's not a disrespect reason. It's a limited series. They have a limited budget, and a limited amount of drivetrains from Audi. They had to choose between the higher costs of rhd cars, or more lhd sells. In a limited series there's very little profit.
Tea-Drinkers don´t deserve this 5 cyllinders engine... This engine is reserved for good sport-racing drivers like Spain, France, Germany... You wanted "Brexit" so deal with your BREXIT hahaha

Automann himself said that the VZ5 is faster than the 370 hp Formentor VZ from Abt and is quote: „significantly faster than the 310 hp version“, which is not that far away from a Golf R. I mean I couldn’t care less, get you’re S3, it’s a great car. Doesn’t change the fact that a standard VZ5 is and always will be faster. End of story
Had a Cupra Leon 370ST;- There where made 225 Units official for Switzerland in Cooperation with ABT. Now I own a VZ5;-belive me, this thing is faster...

Well, if you're Brain changes and can handle the more Understeering in comparison to the Leon, you will love the VZ5. I'm not going to tell you that I can drive faster trough risky Corners with it, but it makes more fun to Handle the VZ5.
It is known that press and test car drives are adjusted for public information. According to ZPERFS (10 sources for this model) VMax=246km/h, 0-100km/h=4.3sec. I think that if it didn't have a speed limiter, I think it would exceed 260km/h on GPS.
@@Lezio-i4d it’s been a year and a half since I have it. I made the Abt ECU upgrade 10 months ago to get the power up to 450 hp. Stock, the car is already great, especially considering its price. Engine is phenomenal and handling is very surprisingly agile and balanced for a car this weight. It’s very easy to place it on brakes and there is no understeering. Only downside was the multimedia system in the beginning but with updates it got much better and way less glitchy. Something that can also be a downside: you need a deep wallet if you want to daily drive it. That 5 cylinders is a bit thirsty (12 litres per 100 km as an average on 30000 km). But overall and considering the competition, I would definitely buy the VZ5 again. I don’t see any other petrol engine car in this price range offering so much value for money.
Its a real shame we don't get the VZ5 here in the UK, I have had a VZ2 a handful of times as a hire car and short of the T8 XC60 its probably one of the best all round packages I have experienced. The 5 cylinder would just be the cherry on the top

Technically better. Formentor has mqb evo platform. Lattest drivetrain. Torque splitter.
RS q3 IS on older mqb platform. Simple haldex.

Why the hell are the gears so abnormally long?
Its made for stage 2-3 purposes, when you have 550-600 hp these long gears are being made into short gears

Manual mode. It doesn't change gear if you don't tap the paddle.

@@rui23gameiro well, with the dq500 gearbox and 2.5 tsi engine, it doesn't change gear when reaching engine rpm limiter. It retains the gear.
@@pokest225 that all depends on the throttle position. If you keep flooring it then it wont shift up so that the engine maintains high rpm and torque.
