Last week, our pastor put up this phrase on the screen: "People matter to God, and if they matter to God, then they matter to me." That's what it really comes down to. We are here to love one another, regardless of our disagreements or whom we vote for. Pray for others; pray for our government and our states. Follow Jesus! This was great; thank you so much, Allen and Dr. Mason.

I'm so glad Dr. Mason broke down the term "woke" bc the term was hijacked. When I saw it being viewed negatively by conservative Christians, I was like, "what is going on?! that's not what that means.". But apparently now it means what they say it means and has caused so much division that we may as well just throw the word away and just talk about the issues, and one another, biblically.

Regarding “church hurt” my Pastor holds a monthly preacher’s meeting and one book we are reviewing is titled Clergy Killers and it’s dedicated to that topic. We discuss how to identify clergy killers, how to avoid becoming one ourselves, how to navigate leading a congregation where clergy killers have/had influence, etc. It’s a great read! Keep it up, love your work and God bless you

@Dr.EricMason, I was just sharing that, it’s a great example. It’s like lyrics to a song that I wrote, Never Give Up On Love because He won’t give up on you.
Many times people that were hurt by someone, or a loved one, are afraid to open up again, and love freely again.
Just because there are some pastors, and “claimed pastors” who are not under a covering, and who are not accountable, meaning: (some were sent, others just went.)
For certain Jesus is the Chief Shepherd but there are Shepherds who teach the flock, and we need to give honor where honor is due.
Jer 3:15 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.
Nevertheless, in understanding, let us not fight against this truth.
Jer 13:17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.

I don’t agree with eternal security either. This is a simple reason why: nobody can pluck us out of God’s Hand, HALLELUJAH, but we can walk out of it, meaning we can decide to go back into a willful, sinful lifestyle. I know then they would say that means they weren’t really saved, but how do we know that? What is a backslider if not one who has walked away? Can they not come back? I don’t feel fearful about blaspheming the Holy Spirit. I’m also not fearful of losing salvation. I live right because I LOVE the Lord Jesus, I just believe a person can leave Christ and thus lose salvation. The Word tells us we can’t live in a willfully sinful lifestyle and see Heaven. Many Scriptures support that too. Nonetheless, I respect, honor and trust these men of God as sound! We don’t have to agree on everything, except primary issues; and with those, I do agree with him. I love Dr. Mason’s thoughtful, practical, and intelligent explanations of heretical religions & being “woke.” When I got my graduate degree in ministry, I see that in some ways we are looking at the same issues from two sides of the same coin. God bless and love both of these brothers!!

All human beings are free to choose and decide whose teachings to believe.
      The choice -
The teachings of the Creator's Christ about the Kingdom of God and Resurrection of the Dead
      OR
the teachings of Satan's anti-Christs about Armageddon, hellfire, Trinity, rapture, and reincarnation
      RELIGIONS
Christians, Buddhists, Muslims, Hindus, all religions who rejected the teachings of the Christ as worthless and useless and believe instead the teachings of Satan's anti-Christs about "Armageddon", "hellfire", "Trinity", "rapture", and "reincarnation" will not be glorified in their "make believe heaven" nor tortured for eternity in their invented "Hell" after their deaths but just become worthless and useless dusts on earth forever.

With due respect, once saved is not always saved. It is a choice that we make continually to surrender our lives to God. God respects our choice and as long as we choose him, we have salvation. One can put their hand to the plow and turn back.

10:33 Politics is the social work out of our philosophical and religious beliefs. So politics IS actually a decent gauge of spiritual health and what one actually believes.
I don't listen to people who get dramatic like this guy does. It's manipulative. I don't have an ounce of patience for theatrics like that. Leaning back and breathing hard isn't an argument.

I was explaining this to my wife last night. Your world view has everything to do with your politics. For that average person that is how we vote. We vote to elect people that have a Godly and Biblical world view. Politics is a natural external expression of our doctrine and beliefs. I have a Biblical world view, therefore i am going to elect politicians that uphold those values.
Please don't think I in some way believe that the person i am voting for is a Christian, most politicians are not. However, they uphold the values that i uphold (at least outwardly, lol)

i would agree if there were more choices. but seeing as though, in the u.s., we typically only have two options -- both of which are not great -- I can't agree with this statement. sure, your relationship with Christ should influence issues you care about and causes you champion. but the idea that Christ would mean that everyone votes for a singular party sounds like idolatry.

Regarding the political differences...literally everything is labeled "political" even thi gs God clearly has an opinion on and things that are clear his followers should care about. So which version of politics are we discussing? Christians should be united about the things God hates and the things He loves. We can't just label everything as politics to avoid the confrontation.

i have found that often ppl use the term politics when what they really mean is partisan. politics is as basic as the study of how ppl acquire and exercise power or how collective decisions are made, even in contexts such as at work that have nothing to do with candidates, voting or political parties. so i think when ppl say i dont want to get political, i tend to think they mean i do not want my statement aligned with a "side".

    • @jeramysteele
      @jeramysteele ปีที่แล้ว +1

@k.h.a.l.i.l. This is definately a better definition of politics. It's really always been about power and control. This is why it's disheartening to see so many things written off as politics. When confronted with opportunities to engage with doing things right, we pass them up and write them off as politics. Kinda like the story of the good Samaritan, how many would pass an opportunity to do what's right just so not to get our hands dirty with "politics".

As todays church, we have to use the "prosperity message" to understand the concept of idolatry, which delves into sin, as the issue with sin goes back to the foundation of the true gospel. Today's church does NOT want to deal with the sin issue. God deals with our sin/ idolatry issues. Any "church" that fails to deal with the sin/idolatry issue will inevitably leave God's true gospel agenda. The truth is that any true shepherd will deal with the sin/idolatry issue as God did throughout history; however, these churches are not popular because they don't cater to the "deceitful and desperately wicked heart." The prosperity message, however, does cater to this deceit, which is why that message is demonic. True church, prophets, and shepherds love the heart of God, regardless of where it leads them. They will create a church from a jail cell. Study Paul, for instance.
True men of God are shepherded by the heart of God, not what's deceitfully and desperately wicked and can't be known by a mere man, the human heart.

I appreciate the conversation between these two formally train men. It’s a heavy lift for them to hang on to CRT. I am interested to see Dr Mason’s definition of CRT since it is a product of critical theory. This is where the train and box cars analogy is clear. Marxism is the track. Critical theory is the train and CRT is a boxcar, as is Feminist theory, as is LBGTQ ideology. Each Ideal is an adaptions of the the box car before it. If Dr Mason has a definition that is different from Delgado and Stefanik why allow the jamming that occurs by using CRT since google will bring up their definition not his.
Justice needs no modifier either. Social justice aim is equity which means equal outcomes. They may try to give it a different meaning. This attempt will be as productive as using gay to mean happy only. Its meaning is changed. Trying to hold on allows jamming to happen where their reputation get used to support a phrase with divergent meanings!

I would love to study further under Dr Mason and learn how to interpret scripture thru the eyes of the ancient writers! If anyone hasn't seen the documentary please go and watch it! ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT

If you know the scriptures you will discern false doctrine. False doctrine diminishes Jesus Christ such as pre-trib rapture. Verses used in Thessalonians to prove the rapture are actually about Christs salvation work on the cross and thereby finishing Christ

Very smart men. I only just don't understand how they think Galatians or any one book can undo God's perpetual law for His people, be them of the natural branches or those grafted in. These two men acknowledge that Jesus and the disciples (and every single worthy person featured in the book) kept the the law, yet they think Galatians teaches something different. But very smart men, otherwise.
