for me it has a little bit sound of american pop (maybe because of the back vocals) but i like it as it is fresh to my ears, a new sound and a new center this is a nice turn for ske48~

Kpop = japanese idol pop + western pop. Jpop has non idol pop groups that does hip hop, electropop and many other genres (E-Girls, Sudannayuzuyully, Bananalemon, Chanmina, LoL, ....). There's no such thing as Kpop concept. The japanese did it before Kpop was a thing.

Most people who buy the album were going to buy the album anyways, but releasing the full mv is a much more effective way of getting people interested in the group as it showcases a more well-rounded view of what their content is like. It’s easy to get stuck in the mindset of don’t fix what isn’t broken, but there are better ways to market idol groups than releasing short versions of music videos.
