I lowkey feel like Melissa was just saying this to try & change the narrative that Paige & Chloe were/are best friends and while I think all the girls had really special bonds in different ways, I really think Chloe & Paige were the two closest.
Melissa just cleared everything up for me. I’m guessing Kelly and Melissa was close friends when their kids was younger. Christi and Chloe came and joined their circle. Christi and Kelly got close for making jokes about Abby, which probably pushed Melissa to the side cause she obviously didn’t feel the same about abby like they did and that’s why Maddie started to get treated better by Abby cause Melissa most likely would tell abby the things they said and somewhere in-between they built a friendship. Makes sense considering Kelly said during the reunion “I should’ve listened to Melissa, not Christi”
