It showed why they were right not to make a move. Major deadline trades are for teams that are championship contenders. The Chargers are trying to build that kind of roster but aren’t there yet. This wasn’t the year to waste draft picks they need as they continue to build for a player that wouldn’t have put them over the top.
They didn't make a trade, because in my opinion the staff knows they don't have the personnel to win it all. So why waste draft capital when you have 10 picks coming and a 100 million in cap space. Also look how well they did with the 2024 draft.

Not too worried about this loss. The Ravens are who we want to be in 2-3 years. My concern is more with the next two weeks. We have a short week to go all the way to Atlanta to play a team coming off a bye week (spells trap game to me). If we somehow loose, then the Sunday night in KC feels like a "must win" which is not an ideal spot to be in.

Justin throwing up so many jump balls just shows how badly we needed to bring Mike Will back. Ladd / Palmer can’t just go Moss on demand like that especially when their tired
It’s a joke that some fans are still bringing up Mike Williams, who hasn’t been an explosive playmaker for a few season and it’s highly unlikely he’ll become that player again at this point in his career.
After this game was over, I had a few questions that I’d love to have answered. First, with Mack back and all of the rest of the defensive linemen healthy, why couldn’t they get to Jackson the whole game, or even pressure him? It seemed like Jackson had all day to go through his progressions and find someone to throw to.. even on 3rd and long, when they knew he was going to throw the ball. Why did we keep hearing how their secondary was near the bottom of the league, yet most of the time when Herbert dropped back to pass, he couldn’t find anyone open? Why can’t Johnston catch easy passes that hit him in the hands when he is wide open, like the one in the 3rd quarter that may have gone for a touchdown? Scoring then would have cut the Ravens lead to 1 score. After that drop, all of the momentum swung towards the Ravens, who scored a touchdown on the ensuing drive, which put the game out of reach. After that opening drive that led to a touchdown, and the next drive that led to a field goal, it seemed as if they had to scratch and claw for every yard they gained. Definitely not their finest moments this season.. Even though we were down a handful of players on defense, I thought we would be better than we were tonight. Let’s not forget, the Ravens were missing their best defensive player as well, so we can’t use that as an excuse. Too many missed tackles, and simple mistakes caused the Chargers to lose this game. The good news is we are 7-4, and still in position to make the playoffs. As long as we finish the season strong, we should make the playoffs, which is something I couldn’t imagine doing before the season started. By the way, Alex said the Ravens run defense was really bad, but after looking into it, it turns out their run defense is very good… like top 5 this season. Anyway, there are 6 games remaining, and there are 2 that look to be difficult- Chiefs & Broncos- and 4 that they should win- Falcons, Bucks, Patriots, and the Raiders. If they go 4-2, they will wind up having a 11 & 6 record, so losing this game isn’t as bad as it may seem as long as they take care of business. Bolt up ⚡️⚡️⚡️
