  • Have you ever tried to start a project with your crew and at the start you were a whole team but by the time you were done or way in too deep, you were all alone? At this point, the Liverpool anthem at Anfield doesn’t make the slightest of sense! Meet Timothy an agripreneur who lived to almost walk alone in the his journey on silkworm farming (Sericulture). His favorite silkworm joke is that of two silkworms in a race… apparently, they ended up in a tie…. Ha ha… As you digest that joke, hit the subscribe button & share too.

    I subbed, you're doing great work. I've only recently in the last couple years realized a lot of the same things you're saying and doing. Vertical integration of natural farming is the answer to so many things not only income for the farmer. We should all be doing and living this way to some degree. I'm not saying for money, even if just for our own self reliance ppl should be composting producing and vertically integrating much of their neccessities like food and water and even power. We all should try and not be a consumer for everything. If we all become producers then we don't have to truck and fly stuff all over the world so much with centralized agriculture. lastly if we all become producers at some level we can even bypass allot of the power we give the capitalist currency based economy and trade excesses because diversity is so localized in such a scenario Good luck!

    As a fan of self sufficiency and independence from capitalistic markets, rearing silkworms to take care of the clothing part of our needs is a very attractive proposition. Adding that to the fact that silkk is one of the most luxurious fabrics, this is a big sell

    Thats amazing. You will sky rocket soon. Silk is not for the weak, it is costly and once you stabilize you can find international market for the same. All the best Mr. Mutungi.

    Very cool. Will you show the next phase of silk production? Is that also done in Africa? I would love to see the silk being spun and made into fabric, then items the marketed. Worm egg to silk dress buyer. I would watch that.

    Only open minded kenyans will survive,be bold to be different..we can't all plant the same old maize and keep only cows and goats..hunger is an issue because people are scared to broaden their diets,

    How are the worms not affected by poison in the castor plant?

    • @MrTheWaterbear
      @MrTheWaterbear 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Eri silkworm can eat castor leaves - regular silkworms cannot. You have to use a different species if you cannot provide mulberry leaves :)
