Awesome video! Paid my deposit today for our annual trip to Arnensen’s on LOTWs. Now I find myself feverishly binging walleye ice videos. I’m obsessed With cracking the code. Thanks so much for sharing your tips. Boat is in storage and I’m stir crazy for ice fishing!!!
@@TargetWalleye how do I get you pictures on what we're landing here in Southwestern Québec for a shot at being part of your awesome email posts? Email adress of Messenger?
I'm an old musky nut who has come to love walleye fishing lately. Have yet to catch one thru a hole! So, thank you for these tips. Can't wait to catch one on the ice!
🐟🐡 Bay de Noc Do Jiggers and Thing-Ama-Jiggers both work well on the Saginaw Bay here in Michigan. Love your content, keep up the great work, tight lines!🎣
Good advice on the small swivels and small qiuck snaps.and the okuma reels are awsome i run the abf series on all my spinning combos , open water and winter.
Thank you for the tips truly appreciated. One go to spoon when things get tuff has been the stop sign spoon in red color. Also love all the wood work where the video was shot
The Buck Shots are fantastic! Used them for Flood reservoir White bass in 45 ft of water, and also walleye on the Des Moines River back in Iowa. No ice here in Kootenays yet, but should be soon!
Leach spoons are my go to here in pa fish love those things plenty of colors available here at my local field and stream they have an area dedicated to ice fishing love it
I know this video was specific to spoons, but what's been really hot here in the Midwest is vibe baits under the hardwater. Anyway, great content and video !!!
My top baits are Spoons: Northlake Buckshot , PK Predator, Pelican flutterspoons. Other lures: Live target rattle baits, Rapala Jigging Raps, and reel bait flasher jigs for pounding the bottom.
I like to use PK flutter or kastmaster spoons. (Mid- North Saskatchewan) The colour choice depends on the mood that day, but blue on silver seams reliable in most situations, but you cannot rule out gold. Good job on the review, I’ve got additions for my next trip to tackle shop! 👍
Awesome video. From eastern Wisconsin around Lake Winnebago and am digging your videos man! Now that we know what you've had success catching them on, what kind of advice would you give to locate them on a new lake.
Brett Thank you for the great information. I do have 2 of the Okuma C-10 reels. How do you set them up? They only hold 70 yards of 6 lb. mono. Do you use braid with a mono or fluorocarbon leader?
Greetings from Golden Colorado! Very good info, I am doing all this stuff and have most all exact techniques, gear, however it sux fishing here for Eyes/Jumbp Poich… Too much pressure, short warm water fish Ice season with crazy pressure from waaaay too many fishermen. Tight Lines..... Peace-
What size feather treble do you use? Also, do you use bait sometimes on lures with the glow treble and feather treble hooks or do you only use them without?
What brand rods do you like to use? I have one 40" custom but at 280 a rod probably wont get another one right away I find it hard to find rods in that 30"-40" range
I mean jigging spoons are jigging spoons they're so simple and similar. They all work great and it's hard for a company to make a bad one. Best spoon I find for my style of fishing is a mepps scyclops with a minnow head or chunk of plastic for drag. It's big, obnoxious, and with that little chunk on the treble has a perfect sideways flutter on free fall. Stop it dead and it's a pretty heavy jigging spoon with lots of control. But that's just me.
Awesome video! and appreciate the email new letters as well. full of useful knowledge. can i ask what rods would you recommend in that 36inch length? light to medium power.
Probably a dumb question but I keep losing walleye about a foot away from the hole, it’s like as soon as they see it they give one last head shake and spit the hook. What am I doing wrong lol?
Could have sworn I saw them at the Cabela's in Winnipeg when I was up ice fishing last season, might be worth a call. Don't know what kid of hit you take on shipping across the border, but FishUSA has 'em in stock online here: fishusa.rv5k.net/bzODB
They can be tough to find during the day. Most get caught out of really deep water...say 45' to even 60'. Best bet seems to be fishing the 45 minute sunrise and/or sunset windows. I usually have the best luck in 17-19' during those "flash bites." Good luck!
Hey all! Here's a newer video breaking down SPECIFIC SIZES FOR EVERYTHING I USE. Thx much for watching!

Man you’re natural on camera. You’re good at this. Keep it up. You deserve more subscribers!
Seriously appreciate it!!! Hope you have an awesome hardwater season.
The small gulp minnow heads are great for the small jigging and flutter spoons, plus they’re about $10 for a jar, which lasts me all season
YES ! There is life beyond Nortland ! Go PK !
Absolutely love your style, never get tired of listening thanks
Thank you SO much! And so pumped you’re enjoying them.

Northland forage minnows with waxies, by far my go to for panfishing!
Frostbite dinner bell has been the go to in every lake so far.
Those things are REALLY good! I love that little kicker blade that gets to swinging around even on super subtle jig strokes.
My go to is a Northland Glow Shot spoon

Here in Quebec it's illegal to use minnows so I've been trying all types of lures .
What size feather treble do you use? Also, do you use bait sometimes on lures with the glow treble and feather treble hooks or do you only use them without?
My obvious go to spoon is a Trout-N-Pout Spoon in either glow green or glow red. Duh! 😂
What brand rods do you like to use? I have one 40" custom but at 280 a rod probably wont get another one right away I find it hard to find rods in that 30"-40" range
Hey Bret. Can you tell me what size ( weight) spoon#1 was PK spoon.
