- This is actually my second DIY build Blade 120 S2. I reecently did a frame-up rebuild on my original Blade 120S. It flew great, then the control board went out. As it turns out the 120s control board is no longer in production. So I took it apart and bagged-up all the parts for spares. (for my 3 Blade 120 S2's). I have already used the L/R 65 mm servo for one of the others.
It turned out the tail boom was splintered. So I salvaged the motor, fin and rotor blade. When I realized I could bind a 120 S2 to a 120S transmitter I decided to build another. All I really needed was a tail boom kit and a 120 S2 control board and a L/R servo of course.
Since I had been thinking about using a Micro heli 3 blade kit on a future build, I decided to order 3 blade conversion kit as well. The kit was a little intimidating, so many parts.
Could this be a big mistake? I don't know squat about 3 balde rotor heads. Actually it didn't go all that bad. I had a little trouble incerting the piece that the 3 feathering shafts butt up against. But eventually I got it just rite and the cover fit into place. Also I had to fiddle with the links that connect the upper part of the swashplate to the 3 blade Grips. It just didn't look right to me, But everything lined up, so I figured it must be right.
The first time I tried to take off (in the house) it pulled hard to the left. I adjusted the L/R servo control rod (which is on the right side of the frame) down to raise the left side of the Swash up to level. I think I screwed it down 2 full rotations. I got luckey and did not have to re-adjust.
It was a little breezy today, probably not the best day for a maiden flight. I know it flies better than it did today. I was preoccupied with the camera and the wind. I will do a "just flying" video soon to show how well this heli can perform with the 3 blade set up.

HI bought this heli and when it flys it just spins round and round set up as per manual said on my dx6e but still no joy van you plz help thx mark.
Sounds like an issue in your back rotor that’s what should be stabilizing it
when a heli just spins around, it usually means the tail motor is not working. check the connections at both ends. if it isnt that the tail motor is probably no good. If you need more help go to horizonhobby.com and contack tech support
Turn the back propeller around. Sounds like it is on backwards.
