- Today I had to go to a mall in Mississauga and had to service a 3 compartment sink in the janitor room. The sink went to a grease trap and it was full of grease thick and chunky.@NYDRAINS @DrainCleaningAUSTRALIA
Jay, they were hoping you could fix it so they would not have to get the grease trap cleaned out. Thanks for posting and sharing brother. Trogna....
It almost seems like it eh thanks for watching Jerry. Have a great day, brother trogna
Moments where it's the end user's lack of routine maintenance that pays the bills. Gotta love it.
I agree thanks for watching have a great day
Bruce would be jealous lol
Lol thanks for watching john have a great day
Good shout out to Bruce, he'd love this stuff.
I forget to link his channel down in the description, as well as New York dreams. Donald, I'll go do that now.
I would say that a cleaning of that trap is way over due! The customers commentary in the background sure is funny!! Thanks for sharing Jay!
Yeah, she didn't like the smell of it. LOL thanks for watching Natasha. Have yourself a great day.
Ah, I see. I can just imagine her face when she got closer 😂😂😂😂
Lol
Gotta loved grease. I have a feeling I would never want to eat in that restaurant. ❤❤❤❤❤👍👍👍👍👍
So this was a mall and b, this was a food court that washes all the trays separately, as in not every restaurant for food. Establishment in the mall, food court has their own trays. It's just one community tray, right? That gets cleaned by the cleaners. Hopefully, this helps have a great day.
❤
good video Jay, I loved it👍
Thanks a lot. I really do appreciate it. I hope you have a great day.
You forgot Oli’s “all good!”
I remember my days of cleaning out the grease trap, not fun but it helps maintain the grease trap and keep the water flowing
Yessir
Hello, Jay! Bruce told me about you. Today's client sounded clueless about having to pump the grease out regularly. Hope she gets someone in there soon!
Thanks for stopping by Matthew. I really do appreciate it. Bruce is awesome for telling people about my channel over here. So that person, that was in the background, she wasn't the owner. She was just like a janitor or a cleaner at the mall. I talked to maintenance manager after I shut the camera off. And they thought that grease trap had been done, because somebody came in a couple months ago and was supposed to have cleaned all the grease traps. But I guess that one actually got missed. But a lot of people don't know what grease traps are all about, like the lady in the video that you could hear. Thanks again for watching. I hope you have yourself a great day.
You forgot Kempinger's "Very Satisfying".
I don't watch that channel unfortunately I will check them out. Thanks for watching have a great day
Someone's gone noseblind.......😂
Lol it's true thanks for watching have a great day
Morning Jay, morning everyone 😄
Good morning, John. Thanks for watching brother. Have yourself a great day.
@Jaythatdrainguy you to!
@John-kr7iz thanks
Scary conditions in the grease trap!😱
Lol yeah it was a bad one. Thanks for watching have a great day
I don’t get how restaurants don’t understand they need to clean their grease traps. Bruce’s videos are epic. But really it’s a grease trap. We have to have our septic tanks cleaned out on a schedule to prevent backups but these guys can send grease down the drain for years and years and not expect a problem. And funny she could smell it but you couldn’t. It must have been rank
Yeah, I don't understand because I'm actually on septic myself. We have to get it pumped out regularly, and the grease traps, too. They can just do it whenever they feel like it. I tell restaurants, "Once a month, get your grease trap cleaned." A lot of people go much longer than that without doing it. I went to a Subway before-it used to be a different restaurant-and their sink was backed up. The first thing I asked was, "Where's your grease trap?" They said, "Oh, we don't even know what that is." So I'm like, all right. Maybe they didn't have one; they should have one, but maybe they didn't. So I snaked the sink, and I could hear my cable in the floor about ten feet away. I lifted a rubber mat, and there was the grease trap. When I pulled the cover off, the grease was so thick my screwdriver fell in and stayed on top-it was that thick. Thanks for watching. Have a great day.
THAT'S A GREASE SITUATION JAY THAT GUY SEE YOU NEXT TIME
Lol yeah it is see you next time john john
The smell.. haha
Always love a good grease trap.. where on earth would you rather be?
Making people run from the smell is always a place i want to be lol

Lol
Had no idea you were in the GTA. Rock on!
Yes, sir, i'm actually west of toronto out by the hammer 🔨 thanks for watching have a great day
So, do you think she will get someone to come clean that out? I find it odd she didnt know that needed to be done.
She was just a cleaner for the mall she has nothing to do with getting the grease trap serviced. I just always find it funny. When somebody that doesn't know anything about it and they've never smelt, that smell before gets close to it. So that's why I asked her to come see it and they are having somebody come back. Apparently this week to clean it out. I talked to the maintenance manager after I shut the camera off
Would there be no smell with the lid on top of that? Looks like it has been there way too long already.
So there's AA foam gasket that goes around the rim, and that technically should stop it, as long as it's Volt it down properly.
Because I didn't smell anything when I went in. But then again, I didn't smell anything. Really, the whole time I was there? I get so used to the smell. It's pretty sad, actually. Thanks for watching. Julie have a great day.
Did they ever clean out the grease trap?
I haven't been back there to ask lol thanks for watching have a great day
Come here lol. Nice try Jay. Some people throw up when the get a smell of the open trap.
Yeah, they do. That's why I always try to get them to come. See what it ISL OL. Thanks for watching. Paul, have a great day.
Definitely needs a clean out Jay,
Yes, it does. Thanks a lot for watching Taylor I really do appreciate it. I hope you have a great day, bro.
The next Firm, what have Machine how sundry extraneous to remove must. But by this Machine, very long Time not a clearing is make. The Metal rusty and the Content rottenness. You have a good Stomach not to 🤮 . Greeting from Austria 👍
Thanks for watching. I really do appreciate it. I hope you have yourself a great day dorit
Top of the morning, I hate working on commercial jobs, give me residential all day long.
I don't mind working really in any situation. I'm not a huge fan of having to wear hard hats and stuff like that. So like construction sites, I don't like that, and when I go to the big box store and I got to wear the parent and the bearnet. I don't like that, but they usually have some good jobs. That I can make videos out of so I guess that's a trade. Thanks for watching Patrick. Have a great day, brother.
@Jaythatdrainguy yeah like the stores rest rooms and so on is ok but grease traps I hate.I have done some through out my career, and honestly if I can stay away from them I do
@patrickwilson9833 so when I first got into the drain industry almost 18 years ago I started with cleaning grease traps. So I had to get used to it pretty quick or I wouldn't have a job. So nowadays there's not really many grease traps that bother me. You do come across the odd one that is pretty bad. But it's typically the smell that throws people off. I think with doing this job for this long A. Lot of my smell scents for stuff like this has bean damaged, I guess.
Greaseburgs
Lol yeah it was. Thanks for watching have a great day
Do you need my vac and water combo unit , Jay?
This was in the middle of a mall on the 2nd floor in the food court janitor room.
And they have companies apparently to suck out all the grease with their portable vacuums, and that clean all the grease trap thanks for watching. Have a great day.
