It's silly to compare build construction of a watch that is around 200 USD to a multi thousand dollar watch. In addition, the sizing isn't as far off as you suggest. The Tank Solo XL is quite close in size. Better luck next video
Pretty much every brand has a done a tank. My Chrono24 notepad has about 20 vintage tanks from brands like Piaget, IWC, Omega, Zenith, Hamilton. Not sure about current catalogs but if you are a vintage watch guy you should have no trouble finding tanks
I prefer some of the Seiko Dolce gold squares. It's a subtle homage to the tank and still has its own identity. There are a lot of them on the secondary market.
I don’t really believe in “alternative” watches. You need to just appreciate each watch for what it is and not wish it were something else.

Yes my big gripe is the case on this is TOO big. Its a dress watch replicating the classic design. Make it smaller.
