      My solution
      Gather a group of functional, terminally ill people who understand the flaws of the system. Have them introduce themselves, in a permanent manner, to government officials who have escaped justice. The only other way is a revolution. The orchard ain't gonna fix itself

The five x-officers, with criminal and gang mentality, who beat the victim to the pulp deserve more than life in prison. It is appalling, terrifying, and sickening that we have so many bullies behind badges hiding in police departments all over the country. They put him in cuffs and he asked why he was being put in cuffs. They ignored him and called for backup. So I got my phone out and I approached them. I said “the citizens are watching.” Two minutes later he was free to go. The guy shouted “Thank You So Much!” At me. I hate to think of what would happen if I hadn’t been there.

      In some cities in the US there seem to be organized gangs inside police, with a condition of membership being the murder of an innocent citizen. I don't know if this problem exists in Memphis. If it does, here is a possible explanation for the quick reaction: There is such a gang there, which (as usual) controls the local police. These cops aren't popular with the gang and thought through this crime they could enforce membership. (Or maybe it was related to forming a competing gang.) As none of them is a member of the controlling gang yet, the establishment has no interest to defend them, and in fact hopes to prevent scrutiny that might uncover the gang by reacting swiftly.
      Of course there are also other, far more optimistic explanations; even some that don't involve racism...

According to his mom he did not drink alcohol or use drugs. His hobbies were skate boarding (lived in CA for years) and taking nature photos, and he wanted to become a professional photographer. He was the youngest of four I think and he loved his mother and stepfather. He also had a tattoo of saying MOM on his arm. He would come to his mother's house and say, "Hi parents". There was no just cause for this, especially the one cop who punched him twice in the jaw, like a prizefighter would and all the kicks. I heard also that they broke his neck. Very bad for these cops. What do you expect Medics to do about police violence when they rely on a police presence to help protect them from often upset and potentially dangerous people at the site of a collision? Especially when one or more of them may be carrying a gun. This is big city America, don't forget, a troubled first world nation, but with many characteristics of the third-world.

      YUP! And they have to take an oath to always perform life saving once they are taught them. IF an EMT just stands by, as they did here, they are committing a felony and forgoing their careers (just like a doctor). I have seen this happen multiple times in Boston when police have aggressed against POC and homeless people. EMT workers and firefighters work for th cops. Sadly, I'm sure that was a shock for some who went into those fields to learn that the police get to pick and choose who they get to save. I wish some first responders could anonymously report how they are bullied by the police into aiding their abuse. But, these EMTs committed murder, nothing less.

    • @kiskakuznetsova503
      @kiskakuznetsova503 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@brucegibbins3792 FWIW, EMTs are legally bound to perform life saving services. By law, they cannot refuse to treat someone. I don't think when Tyre was slumped against the car that he posed any threat to anyone. Those EMTs were depraved (they are probably married to cops, that's often how it is in my city) and committed murder. They watched Tyre suffer instead of doing their job. Those EMTs are sadists, too.

    Years ago, before cell phones, when I was visibly pregnant with my son, my car broke down while on the freeway. I was able to pull over onto the shoulder, and had to wait for assistance. Soon, a police officer showed up, but he pulled up beside where I was standing and rolled down the passenger window to speak to me. I leaned over, toward the open window as I slightly reached for the door because the freeway noise was loud and I could not hear him very well and worried he couldn't hear me. As I made this motion, I began telling him that my car broke down and that I needed a tow. Within seconds, he leaned forward, with a horrible expression on his face and his hand on his gun. He shouted at me to stand back and away from the side of the car. I did so immediately, feeling shocked and afraid. I felt as if I had made one wrong move he would have pulled his gun and perhaps fired at me. I went into a kind of slight shock and don't recall what happend after this. I seem to remember that I had to walk to a phonebooth some distance away and called for help from. a family member. What I do remember is the nature of this incident, the sense that this man was on an extreme edge and ready for a violent interaction. This was a horrifying and unforgettable experience. BTW, I am caucasion and so was he. There is something wrong with the kind of training these people are receiving and they are not being monitored closely enough in terms of their own mental health and capacity to "serve and protrect" as this public servant role requires.

      @@asia6991 thank you for sharing your experience. This issue is about human caring and compassion, regardless of race. I'm very glad you received the help you needed when you needed it, but I agree that it is sad that you weren't allowed to sit in the front seat. It is horrible that some people are so threatened by others, also sometimes regardless of race, but often because of this difference or others, and that their inner fear is based on some assumption that has nothing to do with the immediate reality. Anyway, may we eventually all move into a better, more compassionate heart-space of true care, understanding, and acceptance. In the meantime, it does seem ther eis a 50/50 chance of being treated well.

When an officer walks with a swagger because of his uniform and gun, that is a red flag.
