I got stung by a wasp backpacking in the Great Smoky Mountains

Backpacking at the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, I got stung by a wasp and got rained on most of day two … but it was still the most amazing time outdoors.
I love that backpacking always reminds me of how strong I am. It’s challenging and rewarding at the same time. To be out there with basically nothing and everything you need at the same time is such a great experience.

It’s no fun to get stung! I find yellow jackets hurt worse than wasps.
