He is suffering from high blood pressure, but when he goes for medicines in ECHS (healthcare centre for retired army personnel and their dependents) 4 out of 10 times the medicines are not available. And we live in Delhi near the cantonment area, so just think if this is the situation of ECHS in Delhi cantonment, then what about the tier 2 cities or towns. His line really explained it well. Soldiers are respected only until the war is going on.
But Echs provides you the facility that you can buy medicine from private chemist shop and then apply for refund , i know its bit time taking but this is also happened .

Call General Ian Cardozo.. who cut his own leg in middle of the war and continued to fight. Extraordinary personality who became General with one leg as he never took shelter of his disability and proved Army that he is at par with any other officer.
Hats off to him, even after being Disabled he donated his money for Officer cadets. Such a selfless man. Today I am happy after listening to your interview that I didn't join Indian Armed Forces which I wanted to. This country don't deserve any Patriotis and Sacrifices.

Uncle is my father's coursemate (and yes by virtue batra uncle's batchmate). He has laid out the blatant realities. I was in ambala cantt and 8 years old, when my father (officer in artillery) was summoned for kargil war. Those two months have left lifelong impact on us. I can tell you by my experience that no doubt army is an excellent organisation but the respect for army personnel outside the uniform is far short of adequate in our country. This podcast is a good step in right direction. Congratulations to your team. Keep it up

Hi Ranveer i would like to see Indian Navy Shaurya Chakra Sailor Praveen Teotia (Marcos) who was one of the heroes of the 26/11 Attacks in Mumbai , he has also struggled to get his acknowledgement after he retired and have achieved some inhumane achievements in the field of Running.
Appreciation for Major DP Singh. A pure soul and a bravest of the brave soldier, I hope more people pay respects to the military veterans and watch his story. Unfortunately we don't deserve our heroes.

this is one of the best podcast ever!! he said it so well that every army soldier should be respected at all times and not only when they die. People who do not belong to the defence are so oblivious to the sacrifices that are made each passing day which go unnoticed because everyone is just living in their comfort and does not care to see and truly appreciate it as much as it should be. I, myself am an army officer's daughter and I see so many people around me who truly do not know anything about the army, what all they do and how difficult it is for their family. please respect them and their families!! If it were not for them, you would not be sitting so comfortably at your home!
There should be an initiative of reserving positions for Army veterans by big Corporate houses. This is also CSR! Where else can you find more professional & experienced pool of minds- Its Indian Army🇮🇳❤️
It’s really challenging where survival is the most crucial. People easily talk about luxurious lifestyle army families have. But there is other side of the coin. Field postings are not as easy as peace. Balancing everything is very arduous. I’m not complaining about anything but civilian don’t know much about what families goes through. There is a dialogue in ‘War’ movie that “desh ko bachane ke liye 7000 mahina milta hai par bechne ke liye 7 crore”. This somewhere looks more practical because when you are risking your life at the border, getting injured and protecting your country, you get low wages. Uncle is my father's coursemate (and yes by virtue batra uncle's batchmate). He has laid out the blatant realities. I was in ambala cantt and 8 years old, when my father (officer in artillery) was summoned for kargil war. Those two months have left lifelong impact on us. I can tell you by my experience that no doubt army is an excellent organisation but the respect for army personnel outside the uniform is far short of adequate in our country. This podcast is a good step in right direction. Congratulations to your team. Keep it up

this is one of the best podcast ever!! he said it so well that every army soldier should be respected at all times and not only when they die. People who do not belong to the defence are so oblivious to the sacrifices that are made each passing day which go unnoticed because everyone is just living in their comfort and does not care to see and truly appreciate it as much as it should be. I, myself am an army officer's daughter and I see so many people around me who truly do not know anything about the army, what all they do and how difficult it is for their family. please respect them and their families!! If it were not for them, you would not be sitting so comfortably at your home!

It’s really challenging where survival is the most crucial. People easily talk about luxurious lifestyle army families have. But there is other side of the coin. Field postings are not as easy as peace. Balancing everything is very arduous. I’m not complaining about anything but civilian don’t know much about what families goes through.

There is a dialogue in ‘War’ movie that “desh ko bachane ke liye 7000 mahina milta hai par bechne ke liye 7 crore”. This somewhere looks more practical because when you are risking your life at the border, getting injured and protecting your country, you get low wages. But when you just leak some info seating in a ac room to other countries you get a ton of money from which you can live for years.
