    Things to take away: in the third stage of becoming a pro player is to optimize your current decisions and actions, and to do this we watch our past matches. Some go to this stage when they still have fundamentals to learn, which can cause frustration. After that comes the fourth stage: you are optimizing your actions with outside help, and optimizing both in game and out of the game actions.
    Commentator's note: Good luck on your path to become a pro, and don't forget to learn from those who are in the field of esports. Along with this channel i also recommend the ongoing series called "Esports Evolved" by compLexity Gaming. What other such videos or courses would you recommend?

    Question, so lets say you have made a poor decision and you tell yourself "That was bad, I should have done X instead" does your brain subconsciously gather that information and keep it in mind when playing or do you need to mentally fix the mistakes yourself?

    • @tanmaykumar4561
      @tanmaykumar4561 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Celticswing According to my experience, a few times at first you have to consiosly not do that mistake and after a few attempts, depending on how complex it is, you will start avoiding it subconsciously

    • @ThePgR777
      @ThePgR777 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      For example playing league of legends, when you make mistakes you remember that mistake and why did you make that mistakes, the more mistakes you make the less mistakes you will make in the future

    For my opinion, don't review your match, watch challenge match. Because you don't know what you don't know.
    watch challenge one and then revise ours, you will know what you should do and then ask yourself why challenger:
    - ward here in stead there
    - all-in though he is low health
    -flash away or use item when he 70% health
    -Buy this item instead of that one.
    - etc.
    This video's still great !
    good job.

    To requote a certain movie:
    “You don’t hear much about guys who Take Their Shot And MISS. But I’ll tell you what happens to them… they end up taking crappy jobs on graveyard shifts, trying to figure out how they came up short.”
    Especially in my case of attempting Competitive Gaming, and after my recent experiences… I’m going to say: “I tried”, and now it’s time to go back to my Night Shift job, and maybe forget the whole thing, and be Busy again - for my work place gets Short-Handed all the time.

    Shouldn't there, in the last stage, be a discussion of Meta, and knowing what another Expert would do in their situation to be able to "react" before the other player even takes the action?

    Is it at all possible at this point that by limiting your performance in one way or another in order to make small improvements on other aspects of your chosen game?
    I found that one of my friends, who is much more fluent and experienced in his actions while playing, actually struggles with me in certain situations, especially if I’m playing on hardware such that it affects my aim.
    My theory is that once you reach autonomy in a game so much so that everything in the game is almost entirely engrained in your brain, the lack of being able to use a skill is shifted to another.
    For example, in my game, Halo, playing on a larger screen and better hardware makes my aim significantly worse; this makes my brain dedicate more to map movement and awareness, along with quick analysis of the players in the game, and where they should be positioned for a more optimal play. I feel this is why higher tier players and especially those of a little more than my skill struggle a bit.
    To quote from my friend, “The reason Ethan can beat me isn’t because he is more skilled. It’s because he does a bunch of weird shit I can’t predict.”
    Only believe half of this but still; it’s weird he struggles when he has such an advantage over me in terms of experience.
    Any clarification on why this happens would be appreciated. Would love to know it.
