- Businessman and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, of Ohio, will bring his campaign to Exeter Town Hall on Saturday, Oct. 14 at 10 a.m. EST, as part of a series of town hall forums in New Hampshire, hosted by the USA TODAY Network.
In his first run for political office, Ramaswamy has gained traction with Republican primary voters in Iowa, New Hampshire and across the nation.
On the campaign trail Ramaswamy points to “10 Truths”: “God is real; there are two genders; human flourishing requires fossil fuels; reverse racism is racism; an open border is no border; parents determine the education of their children; the nuclear family is the greatest form of governance known to mankind; capitalism lifts people up from poverty; there are three branches of the U.S. government, not four; the U.S. Constitution is the strongest guarantor of freedoms in history.”

The difference is, Vivek is not just "saying anything". He's saying what should get attention and be heard. Vivek's verbal competence makes him a great warrior for the people. He's saying, to a higher degree, with more articulation and an actual set of plans, how to move forward. While everyone else is slinging mud, he's out making a difference for the people rather than doing all of the other things he could be doing right now. Productive and open dialogues need to return. Vivek can do this. This level of conviction needs to be respected and is worthy of our vote. VIVEK 2024 POTUS. There's no one that comes close, no one. He's one of a couple chances we've had in 200 years.

100% i learned something from that convo. Though it was a confusing question. He summed up well and then agreed with her skepticism and then presented his passionless opinion. People need to understand this is very common as a CEO in private. You cant get emotional else competition will eat you up. This style don't know will work in politics where people are used to silence vs violence style diaglog.

This guy can speak eloquently for hours without notes or a teleprompter. That is indeed a talent but not one required to become POTUS. His policies though, are worth considering seriously since a lot (not all) of them make sense. A serious POTUS contender indeed.

I think I agree with that one lady. We should be more wary of billionaires funding their own campaigns.
The media keeps citing polls trying to mock Ramaswamy's efforts. However, polls are not the same as actual voting. In voting, there are consequences while with polling there are none. So, people are more apt to use their polling responses for whimsical purposes such as to express their moral support for someone while not really wanting them to be president. Consider the fact that a large number of Republican and Democratic voters do not want either Biden or Trump to be nominees... per polls. This contradicts their polled candidate choice. Secondly, in January Desantis and Trump were almost tie at ~40% each in the polls. Suddenly, as more and more legal challenges mounted against Trump, Trump's polling skyrocketed. Did voters just as suddenly discover something so egregious about DeSantis that they favored Trump, or was it largely a symbolic sympathy vote due to perceived injustices to Trump? While unrealistic, if suddenly all charges were dropped against Trump and a public apology was made, I would bet Trump would not be the favorite son anymore. I think the indictments have warped this election cycle's polling data for which pollsters have no way of adjusting for. When primary voters must make the real choice and know it matters, the results might be surprising.
I do not trust the polls at all because the media and establishment are working very hard to prop up Nikki Haley. However, most Republicans I have talked to do not like her.
I think you hit the nail on its head. Polls only matter so much. The point really is that people should form their own opinions and not just blindly follow what the media is telling them to follow. Because Media is a business and they are not having your interests at heart.

CNN,Fox News and MSNBC have some good reporting but, it's their after 7 pm opinion show hosts(who can have good interviews when they give their guests time to talk)that cause so much confusion. Reid,Hannity,Lemon(, when he was at CNN) are all jackals(Chris Curmo's word he used describing his opinion show host colleagues to Andrew Yang). The over hour long interviews on podcasts with RFK Jr, Vivek etc. are so much more informative!
The lady starting at 36:12 had such a disrespectful tone to her question. We have our freedom, which Vivek always has been for,to ask candidates questions, protest against them,hold them accountable etc. but,we as Americans have lost our tactfulness. It's not just what we ask candidates, it's how we ask them our questions. As a former radio news producer,I learned that the best way to get information from candidates is ask a detailed question and allow them to voice their opinions, their way of approaching solutions to problems fully etc. We've become trained by the opinion show hosts on CNN, Fox News and MSNBC to treat people with aggressivness and anger. That won't get us anywhere! I disagree and agree with Vivek, RFK Jr,Tulsi and Andrew Yang on things, that's how it's supposed to be! I would not have a disrespectful tone when asking them questions. If we demand that our leaders have a respectful tone, then we must also follow our own advice!

I can't vote for a Republican in my state. If he wins the primary, I will vote for him in the general. I'm tired of the do nothing Democrats in DC. Living on government assistance without a meaningful job, leaves a person without honor and a sense of purpose. The first thing God did for man in the Garden of Eden was give him a job to name all the animals. As a former teacher I can attest to the wonderful sense of worth a child feels when he masters a skill or an understanding.
Fatherlessness is also the single biggest issue in the Black inner-city communities that contributes to the high crime and low education rates and the government reinforces it with all the incentives they provide Black mothers with to maintain a single-parent household. The social security system we have in place now is deeply flawed and does not even help the people it is meant to help in the long run.

Vivek is a self-made millionaire and doesn't need to manipulate us into thinking he's smart or savvy. He demonstrates it. He founded and is CEO of Roivant Sciences, has 5 FDA approved drugs, 12 drugs in various approval stages, and has a deal to sell one of his drugs to Roche for $7B, almost the market cap of his company. His campaign has not only laid bare America's problems but has detailed plans to address them all. There's no empty showmanship in Vivek's performance, but a lot of jealousy in hers.

In her simplistic view, Ramaswamy is working 16 hours a day, seven days a week to buy the election so he can bask in the limelight. I think it is more believable to take him at his word: the establishment uniparty is destroying the nation and he wants to, as a minimum, influence the national dialogue or, as President, to restore our 1776 ideals.
