The best summary of Tokyo Ghoul I can give you is to look for the translations of Unravel and Katharsis. The lyrics on those two songs are literally the story of the main character of the show.

Thank you @GazMASH Cuts! For your wonderful take on these songs. It is super refreshing to see TH-camrs actually give these amazing songs the absolute credit that they deserve. To further analyze and to break it down for the viewer is something else entirely. Thank you once again sir. Automatic Subscribe FYI.
Dunno if this is the right place to recommend, since this is an older video, but I'm a new viewer on the channel. Anyway, I recommend doing reactions to the ops for danmachi (is it wrong to try and pick up girls in a dungeon) it's been such a surprise how good the show is and the last op especially is really good.
I think Tokyo ghoul is a fantastic anime that you probably would love! For me personally though, I think the manga does a much better job at pacing the last couple seasons unlike the first two, which are amazing.
@@britecore7064 ehh compared to the last two seasons the second one is pretty damn good imo, but I understand if you like season one more than the second that's fair,
Here are a few for you to consider: 1. Black Lagoon "Red Fraction" by Mell 2. The Saga of Tanya the Evil "Los, Los, Los" and "Jingo Jungle" 3. Re: Zero 4. Overlord
The season 2 opening- Munou(incompetence), is supposed to sound that way, confusing, chaotic with no meaning as we perceive but might have something else for every other person. Its happy and sad at the same time which is how the anime feels. The artist did a really good job without watching the anime yet made a masterpiece imo. Thats what I think of it. Being a piano person, I loved every second of it (No diss on Unravel, its god tier)
Anime is great, TK really captures the emotions portrayed in the show, great mash up. It's about humans and ghouls who are cannibals, just a dark fantasy show, fighting death and love.
Ghouls aren't human the manga explains that ghouls are a different species then human hence why they mostly are unable to have children with one race case
@@nolifealan9746 partially correct, they are actually considered a subclass of humans. When you break down the science of what a ghoul in Tokyo Ghoul is you'll learn that the ghouls are extremely close to humans. Think of neanderthals as ghouls, the only difference being that neanderthals were bred out while ghouls adapted and survived to the modern age.
The anime is about a kid/young adult thrown into a deadly world of human eating monsters and murderers and his struggle to adapt and make the right choices as his mind unravels in the twisted world of ghouls.
I think you would love the BERSERK soundtrack . The books are what gave the Souls/Born games its inspiration . Imagine a choir backed up by an orchestra and a metal band singing about Blood & Guts . LOL
Man, Definitely watch the anime, you won't be disappointed. All the emotions you experienced while listening to these songs can be found in this story. The story of a boy who went through a difficult path in a brutal world, and his life changed 180 degrees. Don't listen to opinions about seasons. Nothing will disturb your psychological reception of this sad story.

Tokyo Ghoul season 1 is an all time classic. Season 2 goes off the rails from the manga but isn't terrible and still has good weight. Tokyo Ghoul: Re (Season 3-4) is just kinda bad sadly. It's a shame the adaptation isn't as good as the manga but the music is so incredible.
I watched the original Tokyo ghoul season 1-2 before even reading the Manga. It's not bad as a stand alone but after reading the series and seeing what they changed.. yeah it would fucking blow to watch
The anime is called "Tokyo Ghoul". Great anime. Even though the ending isn't great. Both in manga and anime. The ending is happy, but there are a couple of downsides.
Tokyo Ghoul is a show about cannibalism. ... ... the anime is relatively good at the start despite the less than ideal adaptation, but later seasons are so badly adapted its not even the same show anymore i reccomend just reading the manga to experience it properly its like night and day
No offence, but saying Tokyo Ghoul is about cannibalism is a really shallow way of summing up the series lmao. That's like saying that AOT is about giant humanoid monsters that eat people. It's technically not wrong, but it's not really what the series is about. At its core, Tokyo Ghoul is a story about (warning! spoilers ahead) a broken, mentally-ill boy who gets dragged through a series of horrific events that force him to mature into a strong, confident father and husband. Unfortunately, the anime removes most of the psychological aspects of the series, which pretty much ruins Kaneki as a character. The only true way to experience the series is to just read the entire manga.
@@consciousobserver1905 yeah i agree tbh, ive changed my mind since then cos i re-read the manga so ill partially edit that comment the show is still about cannibalism tho and anything else you say is stuff that gets me (and has gotten me) called out for spoiling (although i personally cant care less about spoilers like that i wanna try my best to respect other peoples point of view)
@@delnite5825 I'm glad you gave the manga another read. Also, it's cool that you're respectful when it comes to spoilers. I actually edited my comment to add a spoiler warning before my summary, since it contains spoilers about Kaneki. Even the manga isn't perfect, but it deserves a much better anime adaptation than the one it got. Not only does the anime leave out a lot of important plot points, but it completely rushes through the plot points it does bother to adapt, so none of the key moments in the story end up having any emotional impact. I wish the series could get an adaptation as good as Vinland Saga's, but I know that's never going to happen. The Vinland Saga anime deserves to be 10 times more popular tbh. I'd highly recommend watching it, and reading the manga, if you haven't already.
@@itisnotVioletatall Tbf, season 2 was still fun for a completely different reason to the manga. I wouldn't say it's better but the music in season 2 is so godly I could be watching paint dry and I'd still enjoy it
