This is a first-class example of the British Cathedral tradition - excellent choice of music, well performed both by director, choir and the splendid accompanist/organ soloist. We are lucky to still have this tradition which is alive and well - at least in our cathedrals!
Chester in Roger Fisher's day was a most underrated choir. The psalms are taken at quite a sedate pace here; they really sped up after his return from a sabbatical c1983
Wonderful, wonderful, music (I too particularly enjoy the organ playing!) - I hope to graduate at this university within the next 8-10 years (God willing as always). Your will be done, my Heavenly Father. I am just happy to be in you, through Jesus my Lord and Personal Saviour. Bless you, my Heavenly Father. Bless you, my Brother and Lord Jesus. Amen!!
It does tell you the full date, please look at the information under the main title. You can also use the "Search" magnifying-glass icon on the main channel page to see all recordings of any particular psalm.
I loved the organ. Martin Singleton is a brilliant organ player

As a former supernumerary lay clerk I would love to find a recorded set of Roger Fisher's speedy psalms.
Particularly enjoyed the organ playing!

It would be wonderful if the title contained the full date... one could then easily choose to listen to the "psalms of the day"....
