great ! this is encouraging info . Used motorbyke and sold it , used few biciclyes and now I am walking . Using bus too . I am by the grace of God living blessed life and not working in system , and I am below 35 yrs old , not working in system 10 yrs now . Cooking my meals , walking , using bus , using the system itself too . One karate movie from 90's has quote' everything around ninja is ninja's friend' . Using everything for good , it's an art and our modern brain is smaller and smaller due to all kinds of wrong food and mobile phones etc . Walking is even more efficient for health and all other parameters like using shortcuts and climbing etc . Walking strenghten your bones much more due to gravity effect . You can even make your own shoe soles by used tires which are all over the place in cities because cars are changing it all the time in vulcanizer work places . Also you can use old tires to have workout , to throw it like expensive ball , you can do pushups on tires also and isometry . So you can workout for free , any city and village have some stuff for pullups trees , walls etc ( make sure that it doesn't fall on you and kill you like old structures from iron etc ) . I swimm in sea here whole year too , sunbathe etc . Not all cities are perfect for bike , but bike is superior mode of transport . Just like kayak is superior on water , and you can add cheap sail to kayak and have truly efficient vessel . Retiring early makes your brain work harder and you find new ways . They say that really smart and innovative people are not going in direction majority goes . What you need to be superhealthy and athletic ? Pair of running shoes and just running sprints 2 times per week will do it .. Compared to gym and machines that cost 30 000 $ and are still inferior workout . Or sit on bike and do sprints or cardio also , while commuting . I see people envy my position now , they need to work their best energy and hrs per day while I am on sunshine and swimming in clean Mediterranean . Working out for free vs them paying large amounts to go to gym . And with this inflation and oil prices it's even MORE of difference ! Praise the Lord !

Road bike, disc brakes, carbon frame-for sure. Mine is the Etape Podium Diamondback. Love it!
