    One of my favorite things about your channel is that you and Cindy live in the real world (good & bad). What a relief to have solved the problem!

    So awesome to see Moby eating up the trail at speed! That has to feel amazing!! I am so use to seeing you helping everyone else fix their Jeeps, even into wee hours of the morning. You have paid forward being helped yourself many times over. So glad to see Moby is gonna finish it out! ❤️🐞

    • @wayalife
      @wayalife  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The way Moby is setup right now, he kills it at high speeds. You'll get to see more of this on Part 5. As far as the problems he had, all I can say is that it's good to have good friends around to help out :)

    Buddy i have watched every one of your videos, and you are always the first guy to crawl on the dirt with your tool bag and get folks fixed up and back on the trail,, its a shame that the first time i can remember you and Moby needed help it was something that couldn’t be fixed on the trail,, because i know if there were 15 jeeps with you guys there would be 15 guys with parts and tools in there hand ,ready to pay forward all the help you have graciously given over the years .. on my bucket list is to get in a jeep that will be able to wheel with you , and some day i will have a jeep that will be capable enough to do it , and i will be giving you a call lol..thanks for another great video , my wife and i have 2 Jeeps but none that would qualify to run with you..😂😂😂

    Awesome video and ride! I may have missed this mirror in a previous video comments. What is the rear camera video rear view mirror setup in the Gladiator? My rear view mirror is not really usable for anything but checking what’s in the back of my Jeep.

      @wayalife  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The mirror in question was in the Jeep that Mel was driving. He borrowed it from his employee. I think it's an aftermarket mirror.

    Awesome that Moby is back running.........but the elephant in the room.........why did the fuse pop?

    Hey Eddie, glad to see Moby back in action! ! What was the reason for the fuse to blow in the first place?

    what do you two think about portal axles for the gladiator
    ?

    • @wayalife
      @wayalife  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Crazy expensive but could be cool on a Gladiator being that you could run them with next to no lift and you'd still sit tall enough to clearl 37's or even 40's. The gearing on them would prevent them from being highway friendly though and to the best of my knowledge, there is no way to make them work with Jeep speed sensors. This would be the biggest problem.

    Did your transmission live after all that towing?

    I used to read the meters in Keeler and at the top of Cerro Gordo (ghost town) The family who maintains the town is actually really nice and welcoming. Is the ore cart and cables still in the canyon?

    • @wayalife
      @wayalife  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The family you speak of had all passed away. Cerro Gordo now has new owners and they're still welcoming but you need to contact them before coming up and as before, you need to pay a fee. Still plenty of relics left in the canyon :)

    Out of curiosity, would an electric, thermostat controlled water pump help your temps any? That way it's circulating at a high speed while your creeping along? Would also free up some horses and remove some strain from the engine while cruising or climbing grades.

    • @wayalife
      @wayalife  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Possibly. Haven't had any issues with what we have until now though and we've had it for years.

    • @wayalife

      We NEVER trailer our Jeeps anywhere unless they're completely out of commission. Also, we had no draw or at least, didn't anyway.

    I know you guys may have thought of this, but you should've had a Jeep strapped behind you using engine braking on the downhill section to save your brakes.

    • @wayalife
      @wayalife  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, we had considered it but decided it would be better just to let us coast down to the bottom. If needed, we could always resort to that but in the end, our decision proved to work just fine.

    Couldn't you just Hotwire the rad fans ?

    • @wayalife
      @wayalife  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If absolutely needed, probably. However, there would be no way to regulate the speed and frequency of it or that I know of. If you exceed the duty cycle of it, the fan would stop and maybe for good. Being that we had options, we chose the one that we though would work best for us especially in the interest of time.
