Seems like a refresh and more of a qol rework, surely it wouldnt have taken them more than a month to do all this
@@panzer4720I wouldn’t say that. They probably need to have these things worked a ways out due to certification on consoles + whatever updates to code and testing they need to do. They more than likely were thinking about changing Nova but it wasn’t in a “we’re going to do this” and more of a “we might do this”
I was completely in the dark until either Reb or Megan said "reworks" (plural) in the dev short this week. Even then, I told myself to keep my expectations in check. But one of my favourite earl frames getting a rework? Heck, yes!
@@damienhine1861 We're still getting a Nyx and Trinity 'refresh' so it wouldn't be unreasonable to assume it was those that were being referred to.
I'm like 90% sure that they mentioned it at least ones somewhere, but not about the scale of it.

This update could make nova a meta frame for many activities. Being able to speed enemies and then slow them down once they are close should theoretically bunch them up as the slow wave should catch the initial ring first allowing the previously sped up enemies to catch up a bit
Gonna need a loooot of efficiency for that
not really how molecular prime works (at current at least) since an active prime cannot be overridden sadly.. but who knows they might have changed that with the rework. launchday will tell.
@@psycoNaughtplaysMCPC m prime will now boost orb drops from affected enemies by 15% (health orbs for slow, energy orbs for fast), so nova is now joining the proud ranks of "frames that are equilibrium stonks"

That were exactly my thoughts as well. Kind of feels like some aspects of build crafting are getting dumbed down more and more with each frame rework, but on the other hand you really can't argue that it's for the better overall.

@@Lorachzwan I'd consider intentionally building for low strength as niche; especially since it is the only build-type that used it; same with low duration builds on frames like Baruuk or Hildryn
It was an unintended side effect left in because players liked it. Making it a deliberate effect with a higher ceiling is way better imo.

It's bitter sweet for me too 😂 I've been maining Nova for a few months now and I just got her Speedva/Slowva builds perfected (to my liking) but next week I'm gonna have to go in and change/merge them all over again. Frustration aside I DO like the changes overall, it will simplify things for new players, and I look forward to taking advantage of them too.

The most surprising thing was Nova wasn't even in a bad spot to be considered as a candidate for a rework, but Pablo turned her into AAA Warframe!
Agreed, evem though this is very welcome. She's not bad, but she's pretty clunky. Not needing all duration mods for full damage reduction is also very good for restarting on a new account
@@Jibash She's like many other "old" Warframes, still strong, still has its uses, but clearly a bit outdated here and there in the modern flow of things.
She needed some changes as she was just a tool to spam speed molecular prime, she’s gonna be in a much better state as a whole character now
I main'd her for 2400 hours and while I love her, in the modern state of the game she's incredibly awkward. If you didn't want an entirely separate Nova in your inventory it was legitimately difficult to have solid builds for both speed and slow, and wanting both meant you couldn't use red shards to drop strength mods as they'd ruin the slow. Completely worthless passive originally, and an insufferable ancient lack of recasting the 1 that needed an otherwise useless mod to fix. Never 'bad' but holy hell did she feel clunky with some nonsense decisions that were never amended until now.
I'm legit gonna miss her being radiation damage, but blast is good now so I guess it's alright.
@@Deathborn668 Yeah you had to commit to either Slowva or Speedva in a build and any Power strength buff you get from the allies completely ruins the Speedva. The first ability having the damage reduction was sweet, but due to low initial count of the tiny balls it was hard to keep up the sweet number, so you had to keep recasting using the augment, which took the precious mod slot.
These new changes do nothing but absolute goodness to Nova!
Rip to all the Nova Guides left unfinished up to this point. Overextended/Power Donation Speed Nova, you will be missed, but here we tread on greener pastures.
That's a big RIP. At least she didn't get a full rework and essentially only some QoL changes, so most of the guide should still work
nah.. it's pretty drastic if you read the dev workshop. they changed what her abilities scale with in some cases and what her augments do entirely as well. He's gonna have to redo a lot of that guide xD

My only concern is "does Molecular Prime keeps its weirds interactions ?" such as the 2000% damages from the Phenmor/Fellarx, or dagger + argonak amalgam mod armor strip. Right now I think it "carries" the damage type of what triggers an explosion (meaning, the explosions of Molecular Prime trigged by a dagger are considered "dagger damages", reducing the armor if the Argonak with the amalgam mod is equipped, etc).
If it keeps these interactions I'm 100% happy.
If it doesn't, I'm still 70% happy. These changes are huge.
Lol, priceless! I'm super hyped for Nova's rework. She's not my most used frame (that's still Valkyr, even after all this time...when's she getting hers, Pablo? Huh, huh?!), but she's always been one I've loved using. This entire patch looks fantastic, but Nova takes the prize. I'm going to be playing her like I did Ember after Jade Shadows: lots and lots!

FFS, I JUST REBUILD HER, 5 forma to change what was into what it is now. For fffffffff saaaaakkkeee! And by just i mean i started playing 2-3 months ago after not playing since grendel(YEARS!)
I spent 2 days theorycrafting a hybrid Slova/Speedva build that managed to get 65% Slow and maxed Speed at will. Next week's update completely destroys that build. And I couldn't be happier.
I mean the way you build her wont really change much you just wont have 2 different builds anymore for speed and slow but overall amazing rework ty Pablo

Infinite slicing beam of arrows without timer! It's super fun with timer and without it it will be 4 total lockdowns in some corodoors. Ofc if enemies and allies don't go in them and destroy the setup~

she needed a touch up. which this rework was. it doesn't change anything fundamental, just numbers.
Nova has many conditionals in her abilities that impair them. The rework mostly fixes them.
