He just sounds like most people from NC, my great grandmother and cousins sound exactly like that.
@@bio0link most people from NC do NOT have that thick of an accent. It's very regional based and buies creek people usually have a thicker accent. It's all regional.

I’m from North Carolina as well. I live a little less than an hour northeast of Buies Creek, and here accents range from somewhat thick to extremely thick. While Link’s dad’s accent is extremely thick, it’s not uncommon at all to hear especially among the older generation. You’ll find it’s less common in the big cities like Charlotte, Raleigh, Greensboro etc., but that’s just due to the fact that a good portion of those people moved there from out of state.
