I live in Texas and I own and 61 scout 80 like yours and I also own and 51 willys M38 like yours but my M38 is not missing as many parts as yours and mine has a Dana 44 in the rear also
I'm no flat fender jeep expert. I always kind of wanted one and knowing the WW2 ones had full floating axles. Until I learn why it would be a bad axle, I always figured swapping the full floating axle in place of the two piece axle might be worth wild.

Nah that Sii has been kicking around for a while, was t-boned hard on the other side and there's no paperwork for it, so it's parts unfortunately
