Why candidates are not allowed to make a hard view? Why can't I say That I don't support this policy? How will civil servants change a system if not able to disagree?
You can make a hard view but then you won’t be selected. We need to have a diplomatic and balanced outlook as civil servants. Everything has its merits and demerits and while disagreeing with what we don’t like we need to always acknowledge the positives too. The point is that our conclusion to any problem should be solution based and not just out right criticism. It’s a lot about how you present your thoughts that make a difference

@@xyares1807 bro, it's about the perception that is built by The Hindu editors (and the likes) and writers through their so called "rational, unbiased opinions" against things like CAA etc. They only employ people who have a certain bent of mind and who have vested interests. They are completely devoid of logic and constitutional knowhow. I'd rather suggest that on such issues, one should listen to experts like Harish Salve, J. Sai Deepak. These people know the law and only their word should be considered, not some phoney journalist chaap who has to write 500 words for rozi roti and for western validation or for social acceptance (probably for donations by George Soros too XD). Due to these things, people have become influenced very easily, like one lf the board members who said that everyday we read articles about how CAA is bad and all, but they'd never see who has written and why they're writing such things. If SC decides against their point of view then all of sudden they start blaming Supreme Court, suddenly Judiciary's credibility is doubtful. These are the same pedigree of people who scream secularism khatre me hai, majoritarianism hai ji, hindu atankwad hai and what not.
