I’ve only recently started to listen to them I mostly listened to hc punk every time I hear a new one I haven’t heard I’m like why have I not heard this before I always knew the undertones and I rate them as my favourite pop punk but the buzzcocks are definitely right up there now

Just as The Kinks are underappreciated here in America when it comes to the big British 60's bands, The Buzzcocks just never get the respect like the Sex Pistols or The Clash. That's just wrong.

Plus in the Jam there wasn't a visual icon like Robert Smith or Morrissey to be on an American teenager's wall. Paul Weller and the others looked like normal guys. You or me.
Better than Shot FBS and featuring The greatest drummer in the world. I’m not a drummer but I’ve never heard anything remotely like JM - Kitchen is worth its weight in gold in drum perfection. No one else comes close.
Shot release in januari 78 and Lipstick in november 78... So obviously Shelley & Devoto worked on the idea together in Buzzcocks and Devoto took it with him for Magazine. Shelley presumably had something like '...oh, whatever... it's my riff too...' and did his own thing with it... Maybe they had a gentleman's agreement over it, maybe not...

I would not say it is crap. Saying they are under-rated is not an insult, and not questioning the quality of the band. Quite the opposite, it is a high compliment saying that they were in fact better than they were given credit for.
Buzzcocks played their set at an outdoor festival in our small town near Leeds in 2009. I couldn't believe how lucky we were to have them. Pissed it down but I loved every second of it. Seminal

Despite being low quality the mix on this sounds so much better than the released versions... cant help but feel theyd have stood the test of time much better with better engineers

TH-cam always puts up the reissue dates and remaster dates. It would be more of a history lesson and more of a tribute if in your posts you state the ORIGINAL year.
