Bradley Fetchet made a call to 911 or a family member as well. Melissa Doi has the most terrifying 911 call in my opinion.

      Please know
I live in St Louis Missouri
I take it very seriously and I pay tribute every single year and other times
I agree- all should be off work and tributes should happen all over the country
I visit NYC often , it's my favorite place
      I call it "my city"
Last year I was there on 9/11
This year in March I visited the museum finally , I FINALLY thought myself emotionally able
I tried other times and just couldn't
I lived about 1 hour north of the city for 5 years, some of the best years of my life
I would dine at Windows on The World from time to time
Altho not a native New Yorker , I took and take the 9/11 attacks very personally
I AGREE - MORE PEOPLE SHOULD take it personally and pay tribute and honor
BUT- I think more people do than we think
Much love to you , to NYC , the tri state area and to all who feel the weight of that painful day
      ♥️🇺🇸♥️🇺🇸♥️

I was sitting in class..and the phone rang. My teacher screamed , that scream you only know if you’ve gotten that phone call . Her husband d*ed that day, originally he got out but went back in after to try to help people . In CT we were in complete lock down . What a horrible day & the aftermath was so painful.

I was in high school. My freshman year we went the year before went all the way to the top. Then we went again the year after when it was just fenced off with names on the fence. It was so strange. To experience just how tall that building was from being at the top. Our ears all popped in the elevator. Just so eerie.

We will never forget! I was 12 during the attacks of 911 but I couldn't process the severity of the attacks back then so I waited to research 911 untill I was in my 20s and learned of the jumpers, but I was old enough to process it and I've spent the last decade on youtube listening to survivors of 911 and the victims families of the lost that day to helped me cope with this tragic day.
I think of the lost ALWAYS and YOUR FAMILIES are always in my thoughts and prayers.
My school in southern Indiana learned of the attacks right before the second plane hit, we watched the second plane hit live but we were let out of school early that day but before we were dismissed, we had a moment of silence for those who tragically lost their lives on the morning of September 11th, 2001.
    We will never forget!!!
God bless you all and may the Lord Jesus Christ hold you're hearts close and fill you with His LOVE and PEACE.

I am 43, about to be 44 in November - 22 years ago, I was an AO3 (and had just arrived not two months before the attacks), at Naval Station Air Warfare Center (NSAWC), a.k.a "Top Gun" in Fallon, NV. The birds on base were not doing the usual take offs yet b/c of the fog, so we were all just hanging out in the hangar office, B.S.'ing, trying to look busy doing a whole lot of nothing, really. Petty Officer Whitehead always had MSNBC playing on his computer, and that morning was no different - what WAS different, though, was he also had the radio playing, as he must not have been interested in whatever was being discussed on the news website.
Ram Jam's "Black Betty" was blasting across the office airspace. I never have forgotten that - and to this day, this many years later, EVERY. TIME. I. HEAR. THAT. TUNE....my first reaction, instinctively, is a physical jerk in the pit of my stomach. (It took a few years after 9-11 for me to basically numb myself to that song so I could listen to it again, but I digress....) Anyway, halfway through the song, the VJ at the radio station announced the first plane hitting the first tower. It was stone cold silent when he was done with his breaking news interruption, and I remember somebody had jumped up to hit the on/off button on the T.V. that was hanging from the ceiling, or maybe the T.V. was sitting on top of one of those metal carts they would wheel in to third period study hall with the VCR on the middle shelf, you know the kind I'm talking about? (I don't remember this detail, for some reason, but it's not important).
We were all glued in our spots, some of us standing, some of us on the couches, or desk chairs, mouths hanging wide open, staring at the screen as the images of the first tower/fire explosion were recorded and repeatedly, over and over, broadcasted across the country - like a broken record, for the next 18 hours or more, it seemed like the same images just continued on this mind-numbing, nails-down-a-chalkboard-and incredibly irritating repetitive loop. Every time it started, I would look away, close my eyes, and hold my breath. I still catch myself doing it, 22 years later.
I have never been to NY City, and up until this past 9-11 anniversary, have never had a desire to visit ESPECIALLY since the attacks...but something changed this year. As emotional as the memory of this day has been for me, only 22 at the time and on the complete opposite side of the country when the attacks happened, and yes, indirectly, I have lost people I once knew b/c of the actions of others on that fateful day; however, what gets me EVERY TIME is the magnitude of almost indescribable loss that others who were DIRECTLY affected that day have described in the telling of their experiences. The parents of the Man in the Red Bandana, the 11 people he rescued, the firemen, police officers, port authority workers, all of their family members, and the civilian mariner, Pete Johansen, who assisted with the world's largest boat lift that rescued half a million people stranded on the seawalls of Lower Manhattan away from ground zero, to some place safer, further away from the destruction...quote "...is the historic maritime evacuation...that was greater even than Dunkirk" (th-cam.com/video/XyS-tYoOj6g/w-d-xo.html).

We never needed Disney’s preaching of diversity, equity and inclusion. We still don’t need it. We were all there in New York in spirit on that terrible day, our nation’s darkest day.

What's really sad is the lack of comments on this sad day America was attacked by terroists. Was great to see how we all pull together as one nation then. But now deeply divided.

Sanest comment section ever? I've been watching these videos for the last few days and most of the comments are conspiracy theorists pushing unsubstantiated claims. This one seems sensible though, no comments blaming the Jews at least.
