Turmoil Gameplay Information:
Turmoil offers players a visually charming, tongue-in-cheek take on the simulation genre inspired by the 19th century oil rush in North America. Get a taste of the rush and rivalry of the time as you earn your way to become a successful oil entrepreneur. As you make money digging up and selling oil, the town will grow along with you.
Lease land at the town auction and search for oil. Build a rig, create an efficient pipe network and bring up the oil to store it in silos. Sell the oil at the best times to maximize profits. Then buy essential upgrades in town to cope with rock, gas and ice. Acquire more town shares than your competitors in a bid to become the new mayor.

i think its better to upgrage the pipe when you branch it, to keep the branching ones at capacity
Dowsers are number 1 need. They should be running full time til verified none left. Multiple rigs are better than one rig with pipes spider simply due to the capacity to overflow. More rigs means more full loads per second. Fast fill rigs means lots of mostly empty ones.
Scanner's cost to use early game and to upgrade makes it not so great i have started finding.
Once you start storing some, fewer rigs are better.

I think that if you upgrade the first pipe, and branch 2 out of it, you dont need to up the branched pipes. You can see it on the flow.

please change to Henry, because with Jim Bob you just save *$100&Time* each round but with Henry you'll get *the Diamond everytime!* that'll get you more money in the long run
I disagree. The ability is useless for a quarter of the game, and if the land purchased doesn't have a diamond on it in the other three regions, still useless. Whereas with a dowser already standing on top of oil, you can immediately start pumping oil to get an income for expanding the operation without waiting for the initial find of oil. You shave a couple of weeks off your start up by having immediate income, and the time saving compounds since you can afford to find other oil earlier in the year off the back of that. On any maps with less than a 40-50 rating, you can end up leaving early for the money back rewards 2-3 months in advance consistently. Which beats random diamonds that will fluctuate in price. The money back on land for early withdrawal is a % of what you pay, so if you outbid someone for the land, an early withdrawal on a 12k purchase of land is worth more than a diamond ever reaches, especially if you drain all the oil 3+ months early.

See, I would have thought that starting with 2,500 would be useful as after you have bought 2 dousers, pumps and horses with the pipes to oil you then don't have the ability to upgrade many pipes, even more so if the oil is lower in the place.
And the spillage fees one seems useful but only if you keep spilling you might save more than just 100 per map overall as like 4 spills costing like 2500 each would equate to at least 100 dousers and normally if you don't catch it in time it can cost even more than just 2500.
But youre not including the time saved by actually waiting for the dows to find them, whats it call? Quarry? It saved 800$ for the first area and more in the others, i know diamonds can be sold for 2k each and even get the help from the guy at the saloon, but dont you need the upgrade to dig them up? After all it came out useless in the first area. I totally agree that it is better in the long run, doesnt mean we have to neglect the early game dont we?

Hey Blitzkriegsler, You could call this season 2 of turmoil instead of expert turmoil gameplay.
Exploring with pipes is not dollar efficient, and you shouldn't do it now that you have the scanner. :)

I think Jim Bob is the weakest, he only saves you $100. You said Larry is the weakest but he starts with an extra $500 each round.
