I just discovered Ateez one week ago, never listened k-pop actively before. I watch k- dramas so maybe in same OST I did but never actually payed attention to it. Now I can’t stop listening them, send help. 😂
If you know ATEEZ, they are head and shoulders above many other groups in their creativity, choreography, and performance skills. They are known as performance kings for a very good reason! And they always sing live! They are absolute fire!

@@KamaliYuyu I mean.. 99% of groups that become the top group or the top 3 group become that popular pretty fast. They achieve that on the early stages of their career.. These are the years it took for these groups to be 'Top group'/ 'Top 3'
(BTS - 3 years | Stray Kids - 2 years | EXO - 1 year | NewJeans - months | Seventeen - 3 years | Blackpink - 1 year | IVE - 1 year, etc.)
For how long have ATEEZ been around? 6 years already? I don't think they will ever be a top group, before that there will come other group that debuts and take all those spots (example: TWS, NewJeans, RIIZE, Babymonster..)
@@LFNZE Ateez didn't have any instant growth. They achieved in steadily over years. They are in their 5TH yr and compared to their peers they don't have any instant hits early. Bouncy was the breakthrough through them which happened few months back yet they are relatively unpopular in Korea. And we say Ateez is going to be big not because they going to take over k-pop but they gonna make their name in history somehow in coming years since their growth is not instant but steady.

I don't know when but i think some people said that Ateez started working with one of the best production companies in Korea for their recent mvs. Ateez is creative, their mvs alone are connected through a fictional storyline. They are also considered very good performers with awsome stage presence! I recommend to check out their stages on the tv show Kingdom; one of the stages on there was considered as the best performance of 2021 by an article.
Edit: Immortal Songs is also where some of their iconic and legendary performances are!

honestly BOUNCY mv is one of the most jaw dropping mv ive seen. the camera shots, the sets, the lighting, the editing and even the storytelling. It truly captured ATEEZ and the fact that the whole album was soo good. ATEEZ are top tier from vocals, raps and performances.

I stan a lot of kpop groups but ATEEZ is arguably the only one that dabbles in so many genres but keeps a distinguished signature sound across the board! Well deserved ranking imo.

I have never seen a kpop group like Ateez. And there’s a ton of kpop boygroups. They bring the energy and are in a constant state of growth. They have evolved a lot since their debut days and it shows so much. ateez are from a quite small company in Korea and it shows how it affects their mindset and competitiveness, they just get better man. Creative, fun and diverse, they also have a signature sound yet I cannot pinpoint what.
Check out them regularly! They announced a world tour and had a few concerts already and it looks like a frickin musical, it’s crazy.

Yessss Ateez!!! They are performance masters, they are renowned for their dancing and stage presence! ( Just for infor, Ateez will be performing at the Coachella and is now the first fourth-generation boys band to perform there!) They're a group full of talent, entertainment, competition, love, .... etc. I hope you'll check out more from them, their albums have all types of genres like hip hop, rock, wave, ballads...etc. They're my favorite band of all the bands I've ever known. (I'd just like to mention that this group, besides their amazing dancing, crazy theatrical performances and so much more, they have fantasy voices. We have Jongho the maknae (the Youngest) and for me he's one of the kings of the vocal in the entire K-pop!! You'll know how they are when you get to know them more!) I really hope you're going to react to their songs, I'm looking forward to seeing your reactions to them. You won't regret it!

I love this idea, and was so fun watching you fall in love with ateez a bit aswell, they are extremely talented and deserved all the love. Will enjoy following this series and also hopefully hear some new songs from new groups.

I knew that ATEEZ would be a hit because objectively they're really good. Even before I became an ATINY I was in awe some how good they were/are at performances. I didn't know the other two so I'm excited to discover new groups with you. Trei was a nice surprise, I'll have to check out where the members ended up.

Ateez are masters of live performances. They have their own brand and they started from absolutely nothing. They were the first trainees from their company. The company literally grew because of them. They have creative concepts, AMAZING SONGS, nothing like you ever heard in kpop AND outside, amazing visuals,amazing vocal line , amazing dance line, and stage presence …nobody can genuinely top them. They are considered the performance standard

3:45 To answer your question: No,you don’t have to be Korean to be a member of a K-pop group, in fact most of the groups out there do not only have Korean members (but usually there are at least 1-2).
Most of the K-pop idols are Asian or have Asian parents but there are actually also K-pop groups with not a single Korean member (e.g. Black Swan).
You need to check out more Ateez. They are amazing!!!

MY favorites that are ‘signature’ Ateez: Guerrilla, Halazia, Crazy Form, The Real, Utopia
Debut - Pirate King and Treasure (double title tracks)
Epic - Answer, Halazia
Mid tempo - Inception, Say My Name
Ballads - Turbulence, Everything (unit song with just main vocalist Jongho)
Bangers - Guerrilla, Fireworks, MATZ (unit song with Hongjoong and Seonghwa only), Bouncy
Sexy - Deja Vu, IT’s You (unit song with only San, Yeosang, and Wooyoung), Cyberpunk (no MV, but there are some amazing fancams out there look for ones in the black outfits; I don’t want to ruin Cyberpunk for you, but just be prepared 😂)
Bright - Eternal Sunshine, Aurora
Other suggestions if you want to do some live performances and B-sides:
Take Me Home - There is a stage version from their DVD where they are in front of mirrors… it is amazing!
Silver Light - Off the new album. No high quality performance of this yet, so a lyric video would have to do (Cyberpunk, Take Me Home, and Silver Light are all synth wave songs and are my favorite songs from all the albums)
Dreamy Day - Off the new album. There is a performance that is amazing to hear on Sound Bomb 360. I didn’t know if there are any copyright issues, but I’ve seen a few reactions are out there.

Spoiler: if we're talking performance, especially the intense kind, it does not get better than Ateez, they're the absolute top tier.
They've just started their new world tour and the concerts are full on musical theatre style with a plot and insane stage design (there are some very good quality fancams if you'd like to take a look, also, if you ever want to react to their live stages then any vids from their past concert DVDs are safe from getting blocked)

Ateez’s The Real was the best kpop music video i’d ever seen until they dropped Bouncy. Then Bouncy was the best kpop music video i’d seen til they dropped their most recent video Crazy Form (which manages to have more going on than bouncy somehow) 😭 idk how they can keep topping themselves

also i think every single reactor out there will always mentioned that ATEEZ is different. so i kind of understand when you said that. they are just on their own league for real.

A lot of people compare them to stray kids because they debuted around the same time, but i still find the two groups different and good in their own way. So i hope you give them a listen.
The second Ateez got mentioned my smile WIDENED and dare I say it didn't fade. I'm so glad Ateez is getting the attention and recognition they deserve. They've come so far and are incredible in what they do. Their stage presence is INCREDIBLE and so are their Music Videos and their whole discography. I saw them live and it was the best thing that has ever happened to me. They are so strong.

Ateez is super cool! Btw, some of these groups are from really small companies and they don’t have the budget for crazy MVs. Probably their company don’t allow them to have creative freedom like Stray Kids, BTS and other bigger groups
