It always comes down to story... and what you decide to make a story about. Make it about things people want to see and you'll do fine, make it about things people aren't interested in and you'll struggle. Been that way since movies began.
I said the same thing, The Acolyte was like a Trek fans idea of what Star Wars should be. Jedi are like cops enforcing laws on every planet, investigating murders, detaining people, etc. Not to mention that lightsabers were like a last resort to this hand-to-hand combat that we've never really seen. I'd accept it as a lost art if it was more in tune with the abilities of a force user.
Well said. I was 10 when Star Wars came out in 1977 and these people just exhaust me. Some well meaning people did the best they could and it didn’t work for you. Get on with your life. It’s not some woke conspiracy. It’s a company trying to expand its reach. And you’re free to not like it.
