    Hello Tess
The females look so similar to the white fine, but there are the normal hyphessobrycon bentosi. The males have no white fin.

This fish is not a schooling fish. The males have restricted areas for themselves and 1 female and they defend it. I used to keep them in my tan. Now i have the similar robertsi tetra, this is a real schooling fish, the red color is more intensiv and the body is slim.

Are these fish Robertsi/Sickle Tetra or are they White Fin/Candy Cane Tetra?

+Tess Orvis I thought Hyphessobrycon robertsi and H. bentosi were different species but I have seen articles online suggesting the two names are just synonyms so I am not sure. White fin/Candy cane also known as HY511 from what I understand was a group of fish found in a fish farm (in tank HY511) of undetermined origin or lineage. I have seen it suggested that they are a color variation of H. bentosi and the ones I have certainly do look similar.
