I picked up this pc i5 2400, 8gb ram for ~35$, I plugged in a SSD and a GTX 1650 (that I got for ~85$) and still use the original 280watt psu. What an amazing budget gamer :-) (it does need two key configurations to work correctly: bios setting video>igp>multi monitor enabled, windows fast boot disabled)
Mine runs decent benchmarks with RX 570 and i7-2600, but I can't for the life of me figure out the sleep settings. It won't wake back up, the fans never shut down, etc.
I had this exact pc with 8gb-ddr3 and an i5-2400 and a gtx 750 ti. Recently upgraded to a new pc with 32gb ddr4 rgb ram, rtx 3060 and an intel core i7-7800X
I do have some questions sir, if u do have a social media accounts (facebook, ig) i want to talk about that pc sir, i also have the exact same pc. Thanks
ty for video man. I just bought this pc second hand (already had i7 2600) and was hoping to swap the PSU (for 750TX) to add a 1050ti (both spare parts i had). I have the 750TX hanging out of the case with everything connected but it doesn't seem to boot up. I saw on 2 other sources that Lenovo PCs are built somehow so that the PSU can't be replaced? or at least made it complicated to do so... I noticed you used a Molex to pci-e adapter. I wonder if I could do the same or sata->pci-e ? With the original PSU being max 280w, will it be able to supply the needed power?
I can't even get the case door open 😭 Did you have any issues similar to this? I've unscrewed the large screws in the back, but it doesn't seem to budge when I press the button.
I love theese Thinkcentre. I have a Thincentre E73 with a I5 4440S, 16GB ram, 260 SSD and a Thinkcentre M91P with I5 2400, 16gb ram and 120 HDD. Theese M91P models has a TPM 1.2 chip while the E73 gets secure boot instead.
@@jensdbe I saw your method how to install Win 11 on unsupported hardware. I will try to install Windows 11 on the E73. But do you think I should leave the UEFI bios and secure boot on when installing Win 11 just to be more on the supported site?
Max. supported CPU is an i7 2600. The performance difference between it and the i5 2500 in it now is rather small. €37 is not a lot but it is in a PC worth ~€150 for a small improvement. Would be interesting to see how big the difference is though :)
Hello I have same motherboard with 3x4 GB ram. my question is will be better with 2x4 GB or 4x4gb. I see in CPU-Z when I put 3x4gb ram still working in dual channel when I remove one 4gb and working with 2x4gb productivity is same
Normally with 3x4GB it should not be working in dual channel. The best way to test this is to run Geekbench with each memory configuration which you are considering and compare them.
Hello, I’m from brazil, i have the same pc, and i’d like to improve, but I’m fear. Can i improve de psu? I have a 600w psu and a GTX 950 2gb, do you know if the gpu is compatible too? Thanks 😅
The machine has a standard ATX power supply so you should be able to simply replace that with the 600W one you have. A GTX 950 should work fine as well here.
How is it that your m91p Type 4524-E4G accepts the Radeon HD7700, because it is not in the very restricted list of GPUs accepted by this Motherboard? Notice I own the m91p Type 4524. However and normally, the m91p only accepts the following cards (and their equivalent substitutes): *NVDIA GeForce 310 512mb DDR3 *Radeon HD5450 512mb DDR3 *Radeon HD6450 512mb DDR3 I had a Radeon HD5450 512mb DDR3, which unfortunately died last summer. I made the mistake of buying its upgraded version, the "Radeon HD5450 2gb DDR3", but the Motherboard categorically refuses to recognize it, even after upgrading the BIOS and even tinkering with it. The HD5450 2gb works on my other PCs and even on a PC older than my Lenovo. The PSU of the Lenovo is 280W, however I tested the GPU and the 280W-PSU on an another Motherboard and their is no problems at all. Do you know what to do to make it work?
Hmm, as far as I know there are no restrictions at all to which GPU to use (except for the limit of the power supply). Any PCIe videocard should just work fine. I played around with the M91p with different cards and never really got what you describe.
Unplug any additional power connectors to the card, unscrew the screw holding it in place and then push the lever on the PCIe slot to release the card. Not much can go wrong, just don't force things and be gentle :)
@@lb5337 that should work, yes. PCIe is backwards compatible. In theory you can get slightly lower performance but that will hardly be noticeable in practice (if even).
It was a lot worse before I started, believe me :) Used a compressor to get most of it out. Didn't look so dirty anymore in reality but noticed the same in the video footage afterwards.

How much power consumption during idle. Is it suitable for nas
Didn't measure the consumption but similar PCs do pretty well in terms of energy consumption. With some tuning you will get close to NAS numbers.

No, DDR4 is physically different from DDR3 and can't be placed in the same slot.
