He mentioned that I ca buy the camera without the pod, is that accurate? And when will ND filters be available for the go3 s? I think I will wait for nd filters before buying the camera. I already own the go 3
@@MountMediaChannel Ty for the timely response. I usually buy from Amazon because I’m impatient and want my products within 1-2 days; I didn’t see the option on Amazon but it’s on insta360 website…. As well as the ND filters
I’m very surprised that you don’t add the negative points of the GO3S compared to the GO3. I bought the GO3S standalone to use it with the action pod of my GO3. It works fine and you get actually a 2nd camera for a good price…. But… the GO3S in freeframe mode doesn’t work like the GO3. Horizon locking and stabilization are not good at all compared to the one of the GO3. I use it on my helmet with the hat clip for mountain biking and the GO3 stabilizes and locks the horizon way better than the GO3S. This is very disappointing You are missing also another important point : if you shoot a bit to high or too low with the GO3 in freeframe mode, you can correct “center” or reframe the image in the app . With the GO3S this feature has simply disappeared from the app. So, I use my GO3 and never use the GO3S for mountain biking or ‘action’ footage. Same story with the magnet pendent : if you walk with the GO3 on your chest, the image has a very good stabilisation. With the GO3S the image move a lot and it jumps up and down. Not usable at all for hiking etc...
Well for me the 4k ist useless, i stepped from 1440p down to 1080p because the battery can only record 15minutes. And for karting its Shit because i need more time, Before the camera automatically turns off because the battery is empty. I was able to record for 10 minutes and after a 10 minute break I could only record for 6-7 minutes (at 1440p 50fps) now I stepped down to 1080p 50fps and i Hope now the battery Last a Bit longer
One aspect I am looking for that has not been included is the low light/ indoor/ night use cases. Is there a comparison with its predecessor, and possible the X3/X4?
My last no longer then 35 mins, but I’ve changed the settings on it to just pick up certain videos when I’m out. For instance if I’m out and I see something interesting the camera will automatically take a video shot of that then stop recording afterwards.
I've used the Go2 camera in the past exclusively with the hat clip, and used the vibration feature (when the camera starts and stops recording) to know that the recording has started and/or stopped. I was checking the Go3s settings earlier today and realized that the Go3s camera does not have a vibrate feature. I checked the settings in the Action Pod as well as the Mobile App but could not find the said feature. Is there a setting I'm missing or does the Go3s camera stand-alone just outside the action pod does not vibrate?
Thank-you for this video! Yeah.., the tech is clearly improved from last decade, but it still looks like weird robot vision. I can barely believe it, but my old Sony HDR-AS300, (the 1080p version of the FDR-x3000), still looks SO much better, like human vision. Analog stabilization is still king.
Is there a big difference in quality between standard video and freeform video? I know they're both 4k but surely there must be a quality reduction on freeform mode?
No - I wouldn't say that there is a noticeable difference - in free frame mode you choose the FOV in the App - and the stabilization is also done in the app
I'm disappointed in the way FreeFrame works with the GO 3S and the quality does not seem to be as good. You have to select 360 in post and it punches in so far that you might as well just get a GO 3 with a better use of the FreeFrame function.
If I was to buy the 3s as a stand-alone and put it into my go 3 action pod, will I still get all the other features? Gesture control/cancel recording/tilt fix/find my/less lag Etc

I finished in buying one but the battery life is the issue for me I absolutely will not spend $300 plus dollars for an item that only records 4K for 15 minutes
LOL No 4k 60??? What is the point of this, why not just wait for the Go4 and put 4k 60 in that. This will probably just piss off current go3 users and i don't see anyone upgrading for such poultry specs.

hello my friend .I've been interested in this camera for a while now and I'm really in love with it.But unfortunately, it is not possible to buy it in our country and I don't have the ability to buy it.The purpose of getting this insta 360 go 3s camera was to be able to get memorable pictures and videos of my grandmother.Because he will not stay with us for a long time and he is sick.I request you, my friend, is it possible for you to give me this camera as a gift? Of course, I may be able to pay you the amount in the following years.thank you so much....
Hands off the cameras of this brand. We lost recordings of a wedding due to a firmware error. The camera also has problems with the connection contacts. It has a lot of errors. Not recommended at all!

Which ND filter you’re using on the sensor in this video at the daylight video shooting? ND16? ND64?

This seriously convinced me to upgrade from the go 2 to the 3s! It looks like the go 3 cam isn't much improved from the 2, but the 3s is WAY improved!

Thanks for mentioning the use while walking . I would like to see this demo in a video.
any updates?
My complaints match yours. I’ve gone back to using GO2 to recover these abilities, and I might buy a used Go3 standalone camera if I find a good deal.
Great unbiased review!
3 minutes of the video and I decided to buy the go3s. 4k freeframe mode… oh yes baby.
You do not get 4K in FreeFrame with the GO 3S. You get some sort of cropped in video that looks worse than the FreeFrame with the GO3.
@@IMRROcomI really can’t understand this thing. It doesn’t make sense

"longer battery life" that's not true. With same video settings the go 3 last longer. Check on the official website, there is a comparison table

I'm not an action camera owner but if I were to buy one, would you recommend DJI Action 4 or GO3S for good video quality and durability?

Great video. Thanks for showing all the differences.
Can you use the little camera with the pod 500 meters away?
More like 5m away
Then 10 meter water resistance is just a lie ;-) You can go around 10 meter deep but it will stop working in the middle ;-)

My question is does it really matter if you get the 64 or the 128gb if you can just transfer the footage to your phone or I’m I wrong ?
No
My GO 2 can fully lock the horizon regardless of the angle. They removed that on the 3?
No - it's still there, but only in FreeFrame Mode
You can but you have to use their app to do it i think, hence why i never use it.

Inpluggen wish it was able to record at 4K 60 fps instead of 30. And more storage. That’s what they should add to the go 4
Really helpful info!
What is the run time for the GO 3S in 4k mode in both stand alone and with the pod?
Recording Time? I say it in the video

Really disappointed there’s not even a way to shoot 60fps. Can’t even do 1440p 60fps, 50? Who tf uses that? Lol
Exactly useless shi
The battery runs out after 10 minutes and there is no memory card. And a 10 minute video in 4K is a very large file for a cell phone.
So, what we know about battery life:
In the action pod, shooting at 4K:
Go 3S: 2 hours and 2 minutes Go 3: 0 hours, 0 minutes, and 0 seconds
In the action pod, shooting at 2.7K:
Go 3S: No data, but would be longer than 2 hours, 2 minutes, due to lower requirements Go 3: 2 hours and 30 minutes
Without the action pod, shooting at 4K:
Go 3S: 33 minutes Go3: 0 minutes, 0 seconds
Without the action pod, shooting at 2.7K:
Go 3S: No data, but would be longer than 33 minutes Go 3: 40 minutes
With all the improvements sounds like ther could have just called it the Go 4.
Exactly, this 'S' is so confusing whether to go for it or not 😒
Finally Insta360 pumped the GO to 4K glory!
By the way, amazing outdoors, where is that?
South Tyrol - Italy
@@MountMediaChannel Beautiful, thanks.
Thank you
Battery life is likely to be only 20 minutes shooting in 4k out of the pod
