The "I guess" and "I think" starters when answering questions are both not powerful. "I believe" "I strongly believe" "I firmly believe" plus "For me" and "In my opinion" or "In my point of view" are the better choices to go for in answering questions.

It's called humility
"I think" and "I believe" are fillers. Just go straight to the point.
But they are not useless fillers. It gives a little time for a person to think of a better answer when given a question.

Using words like I think and I believe make the statement flowery, which I guess in Miss U will not be a problem.

Using those words will make thier statement soft or gentle, using Actually or infact In Miss U is I think is a no no no, as it's like it showing strong or unbreakable statement.

DON'T BE OVER CONFIDENT THAT YOU'LL END-UP LAX!! NOR TOO, ANXIOUS OR LAIDBACK!! A little anxiety is needed to keep yourself on top of everything. (I've mentioned this in another vidz, already). When you stand on the stage, you should look at the back part of the audience, which is dark, that you might only see a few people or nobody!! (It's dark and sometimes the back row doesn't get filled).Then move your eyes nearer to where you can see the audience to the front row, then take your eyes off!! You'll find yourself, relax!! Do it during rehearsals!! It takes only a few seconds!! (Even if there are only a few people or nobody during rehearsals. Do imagery!). The idea is that you'll learn to stand on the stage, tall & compose!! When you get used to it, you couldn't be worried as to who's watching you!! I won't share this, if I hadn't done it!! (I think it's a little late for Gazini, (but you & others) can use this in the future.
ALSO: The pronoun "I," is singular, so you should say:
IF "I AM", NOT: "IF I WERE," you're talking on the present time, thus it should be "am," not "were!!" WRONG GRAMMAR!! If it's a past tense, then you say:
"I WAS......" Don't copy grammatically wrong clauses & statements!! ENGLISH GRAMMAR, PLEASE!! Even the bright people whom I heard talking here in North America don't have grammar. I was surprised hearing professionsls, talked the way they did!! IT TURNED ME OFF!!

It is in subjunctive mood if a sentence is not true (yet) or if you wish for it to happen or if you're saying an instance. "If I were" is correct. Because if you say otherwise, then you're saying Beyonce's "If I were a Boy" is grammatically incorrect. Don't talk about grammar when I can literally whip out more than 10 grammatical errors in your paragraph. :)
On the other hand, Gazini and her team are well equipped for the competition; Miss Universe PH's team is considered powerhouse and the whole world knows it. You don't need to bother them with unsolicited amateur advice. :)

Nabulol at mukang nawalan lang ng energy at confidence si Gaz nung top20 speech round way back MU'19, but she's good in answering questions and well spoken, she has a good accent. I don't think that she's not good in communication, maybe she was so pressure to get the crown. Gaz have a very beautiful and charming face!

Her voice has a very nasal tone to it, no hate, but it sounds like she's eating the words or too lethargic to pronounce them better.
I don't think that's a problem as long as she can deliver her speech well. Like what MU PH 2012 Janine Tugonon said "as long as you can inspire other people you can be Miss Universe"...
