You know you can buy ties with loops built in. Not to mention they make a much more efficient tool to do the tying. Works like a yankee screwdriver.

Im not even a rod buster but plain old commercial concrete but im pretty sure a upright should be tied with wire pliers and a figure 8 no? On mats my foreman makes us use the tie gun or the twist ties wich i hate theyre so weak
