I love how your roots are so curly, it's super cute! I'm working on getting mine curled cause my roots are really flat. Any suggestions on how to curl up roots?
thank you so much🤍🤍 i think that layers really help with definition & volume. Also, i find that making sure your roots are super clean helps! Whenever there’s a lot of product build up, hair tends to fall super flat. A good amount of cream & gel on super wet hair also always makes my hair look super defined. Whenever I don’t use enough of them near my roots it looks frizzy and less defined! Let me know how it works out for you!🫶🏽
You may want to try a mousse, personally when I had short hair I liked to use gel to weigh down my hair and get elongated curls but now that I'm growing it out the top gets weighed down so a mousse is better bc it's not as heavy

I followed your tutorial and I’m just so grateful for this video! This has been the only routine that has made my curls look defined and voluminous! Thank you so much!!!! ♥︎!!! Most definitely a new subscriber!
Just bought the Tangle Teezer brush, a game changer for me! The wet brush that I had, no matter how much product I put on my hair, would practically rip my hair off 😢 . It also distributes product throughout the hair more evenly and without having to apply too much to make my hair more manageable 😊❤
one thing that i would recommend doing is whenever you’re adding oil or any serums at the end of your styling and diffusing , lightly run your oil/serum through the ends of your hair - don’t scrunch , or put those oils at the top of your roots or hair area . this is mainly bc of frizz , (because it’s already dry , you don’t need to keep on scrunching or messing around with your hair once it’s 100% dry) and we already produce oil at our roots and at the top of the hair . i would recommend doing this just because it’s easier and it takes literally 15 seconds or less to do and it helps with split ends if im right (there’s a styling video by manes by mel that taught me :)) another thing is that you can do this while your styling your hair (so when it’s wet) or like i said at the very end of your styling + diffusing .
Your curls are absolutely gorgeous!! I pretty much do the same kinda' things when styling, except all I use is flax or oatgel. Highly recommend! I have about..just below shoulder blade length hair atm, and so I use: - 1 1/2 cups water (+ 1 1/2 cups more later, which you can skip -and I have in the past- but now I like my gel thinner so I can put it in a spray bottle should I so choose) - 1 1/2 tbsp flaxseeds (I actually have used ground flaxseed in a pinch, but obvs. you'll have bits in your hair after if you didn't strain well enough. It does work to produce a useable gel, but you'll probably want someone to check for any bits after, or just shake your hair really well. When I've had to use ground flax I can just gently scratch out any bits of it left in my hair, but obviously thats not ideal to have to do that. Just thought I'd let you know that you *could* still make it work though if thats all you had available.) - 1 tsp vanilla extract (dunno that it's necessarily great for my hair, but it smells nice and so I add it, but use at your own risk) - 1 tbsp oil. I just bring everything but the oil to a boil on medium heat, and let it boil (mixing regularly) for about 8-14 minutes, strain the seeds from the gel (immediately, because it'll get hard to strain the more it sits. BE CAREFUL though because it's VERY HOT. I just pour my mixture through a strainer rather than using a cheescloth like lots of others I've seen on YT do). Next put the seeds (yes, the ones you just used) back in the pot with 1 1/2 cups more water and repeat the steps again. Once done and I've strained the seeds a second time I usually save them to put in my smoothie or something later (zero waste is what I'm about xD) and then the gel goes back in the pot with the 1 tbsp oil (sometimes i use more if I feel my hair is really thirsty that day and needs it) and I bring to a boil on medium heat again. (The consistency should be kinda.. 'snot-like' for lack of a better term. xD). I let it cool and then I'm good to go applying it to wet hair. As for oat gel, I follow the same steps, just using oats instead. I like flax gel because I feel for me it leaves less residue -on the days I applied poorly, that is- but oat gel has given me bomb results as well so when I am out of flaxseeds it'll work just as well. :D Worth a try one day. Seriously it works amazingly for me, and I don't have to buy any fancy products now. I wish I knew this when I was still in school.)
Ur hair is sooooo pretty I have curly hair but it gets so frizzy and big.Definently gonna try this and see if my hair is gonna look defined like yours ❤️❤️❤️
ur hair is gorgeous 🤩😭 the ends and underneath of my hair gets curly like this but the roots and top layer is just wavy and frizzy. my hair is shortish and fine and thin and damaged tho so the road to recovery has been rough 😭

Do you know how many of these products can be found in Walmart? And what's the price range? I also struggle with my roots curling, they always fall flat and I don't know how to fix it? And is using just curl cream enough for this hair type or..?
hi!! all these products can be found in Walmart! Maui shampoo & conditioner are 7.99 USD each, rizos curl cream is 21.99 USD, mielle coiling custard is 9.78 USD 🤍 9.99 for tangle teezer brush and the spray bottle is usually very cheap, less than 5 USD!
as for the roots, layers have helped me get more volume and definition! Make sure your roots are clean so your hair isn’t clogged and also try to use products on super wet hair. I personally like to use both a cream and a gel for ny specific hair type
@@melaniediaazz thank you so much!! these products are a bit expensive as the currency here would be CAD which is typically more the USD so I'll eventually buy those! Also, you're so pretty and your hair is gorgeous!!

Do you have low high or medium priosity hair? I looked it up how to know what kind I have but It looks like a mix of low and high and that seems impossible 😭
Hii, your hair looks great❤🥰I have a question. Do you have any advice for a frizzy crown area? Whenever i wash and condition my hair I already see how frizzy the top of my hair is even if i use some conditioner or deep condition to make it less frizzy. It just feels so dry and is so frizzy. When i brush, style and dried it, its even worse. Im not sure what to do about it. I think i have low porosity hair since my hair has to stay under water for a while before it sucks up the water. Idk if that helps with my question.
thank you so much!!😘😘 whenever i get frizz in the crown area, I realize it’s because i either didn’t leave enough conditioner in my hair (during my shower) or my hair isn’t wet enough before applying product or sometimes a mix of both! I have low porosity hair as well so it takes a little more effort to get my hair wet. Also it’s super important to make sure you have hydrating products when dealing with low porosity hair! I really recommend the rizo’s curl cream, it’s the only cream I use and the only one that works for me & my frizz! LMK if it works & If you have any other questions 🫶🏽🫶🏽
@@melaniediaazz Hii, thank you for replying😊I try to condition my crown as well as putting leave in/curl cream but the frizz stayes. Yes I do have another question, is there a way I can know if a product is very hydrating or not by just looking at the Ingredient list? I see a lot of videos of great products but I cant find any of those in my country and shipping is a problem here. But its difficult to find hydrating products that aren't super expensive so that's why I asked about the ingredient list💕I always thought I just had to look for the ingredients : water, sea butter, some sort of oil, but that seems to not always help much.
Could need some protein, you can get protein masks or styling creams that contain protein. Sometimes when your hair is in moisture overload, it gets frizzy really easily and doesn’t have any hold
