Buxtehude's music is too often overlooked because Bach so dominates - Vincent you have brought his music to live with your playing - bravo young friend. Fantastic pedal work.
Thank you very much, Michael! It is such beautiful music 🙂
Schitterende uitvoering van buxtehude's beste werk!
Ha Jaap, dank je! ;-)
Weer erg mooi!
Dank weer voor de reactie en het kijken! 🙂
Thank you,Vincent, for sharing your wonderful musical talents with us via TH-cam
Thank you! :)
Well played. The sampleset sounds excellent, and does full justice to this extraordinary organ.
Thank you very much! It is indeed a wonderful sampleset!
Wunderbar gespielt, Vincent, vielen Dank!
Vielen Dank!
Fantastisch uitgevoerd!
Ha Marijn, dank je weer! :-)
I like the musically engaging phrasing!
Thank you for your nice comment! :)
A fabulous performance of this masterpiece by Buxtehude. You have it perfectly registered, Vincent, on the Hus/Schnitger sample set at Stade and the rather unforgiving, dry acoustic leaves your technique fully exposed . . . which is no problem for you as your articulation and phrasing are nothing less than perfect. Stunning: bravo!
Thank you for your very nice words! The sampleset is indeed very unforgiving (you hear everything), but it is worth it!
Bravo!!! Fantastic performance - I really loved your "fantastic" introduction :) Wonderful!!!!
Thank you, Jerry! I really appreciate your comment :)
Very interesting sample set. I always marvelled at this organ.
It is beautiful! And I like the extensive disposition, for example the beautiful Dulcian 16' in the pedal besides the Posaune 16'. You have a lot of choice on this organ to make perfect registrations!
@@VincentdeRidder Perhaps even more choices than in Martinikerk...
Beautifully done!! My favorite performance of BuxVW 146. I've liked the Hus/Schnitger organ sample set for over a decade but wish OAM would re-issue it with surround sound.
Very nice to hear, thank you! :) that would be great indeed, however the organ is (how it is now) already very convincing!
(stylus) fantasticus! ;)
Where did you buy your key desk? You play brilliantly!
Thank you very much! I bought my organ at Mixtuur.com! It is called the "Block organ".
Dear Vincent ! You are just super! Which speakers are best for Hauptwerk? I have an Italian company, but the bass doesn't sound good and I suffer a lot from it. Or maybe the sound card is wrong?
Thank you so much, Dominik! The speakers of Mixtuur are very good and I enjoy them a lot. I think you can contact them on their website: www.mixtuur.com. But I do not know whether the problem are the speakers or the sound card :)
How come this is a whole step higher than modern pitch?
Thanks for your reaction! The organs from the North-German baroque period generally have a higher pitch. This organ is: a1 = 493 Hz!
@@VincentdeRidder Ah - that explains it ! I once reviewed a CD for The American Organist magazine - Bach's Die Kunst der Fuge - and the organ was a half step high. I had a lot of trouble following it because I have absolute pitch. While absolute pitch has its advantages, it certainly has some drawbacks. Also, when I play the organ and someone turns the transposer dial, I simply cannot play because my fingers/feet and ear do not match. It's a travesty - LOL. Beautiful playing, Vincent.
