Great build John, I particularly enjoyed the freehand camouflage. I built this kit as my first large scale build after restarting my hobby 3 years ago. It was also the first time I used an airbrush. Great content keep up the good work my friend
Hi Joh , the F-15 was absolutely stunning, it's amaz6whst can be achieved with these older Tamiya kits, congratulations on a job very well done, best regards from Australia, Les
Hi John.. Lovely job! I saw a video from Matt (Model Minutes) do this yesterday. He chose a 'What If' design and painted it as if there had been an F15 in the SWW.
Hello mr. J!icur wearing gloves while modelling.i tryed that2.but i had no fine feeling in my fingertips.so I abandoned the gloves.a nice little gem you have created.i also like your narration.also I truly appreciate ur efforts.of course you deserve a thumb up.and.keep ur mojo and keep the faith.with best regards and sticky greetings from sandy Brandenburg germany.faithfully yours.your modellmate.christian
Thank you Christian. My hands get oily and I find they really help but the reason you don't see me gluing a lot of small parts is because the same, I cannot do that with the gloves on. You too mate. I am a long time supporter of FC Freiburg. Cheers
Awesome build! I came to this video hoping to see what aftermarket exhaust nozzles you got and now see you printed them yourself. I can't believe that a Tamiya kit this old and this popular yet also known for the bad exhaust nozzles has almost no aftermarket nozzles! It is crazy! "Tamiya F-15 1/48 nozzles" popped right up on Ebay, only for all the nozzles from F-35s, through F-14s, F16s, F-18s etc... to all say Tamiya and then the 2 options for the F-15 say G.W.H!! Then right next to that, is "Tamiya F-15C nozzles for 1/32 only! " WTF???
Thanks for checking it out - the kit nozzles are so plain. I looked before I made mine and yeah there was nothing for purchase. Frankly I still haven't mastered the printing and if there is aftermarket reasonable $ I'd just buy them. Cheers
Q: on my F15 after covering the marble basing with base color the surface ended up a bit too rough. I probably sprayed too far. what sanding grit u recommend to smooth it out without damaging paint job ?
Q: I have the H&S infinity. Dry tips a lot with AK, Vallejo, Ammo paints. Maybe better results w/ Mr Color or Tamiya ? Also, trigger response isn’t good, have to pull back almost 1/4 for paint to flow. On my Iwata Neo, slight pull and good to go. Is this normal ?
Great question. AK 3rd Gen, Vallejo, MIG acrylics, Mission are notorious cloggers even with thicker needles. I only use paints I can thin with Mr Color Leveling in the H&S. Tamiya, Mr Color, AK Real etc. Honestly I have not yet gotten used to working with it it's no where as fluid to operate as an iwata. I only use the H&S when I need very fine lines or dots. Otherwise it's the Iwatas. Cheers
@@johnalecsscalemodeling i did have the Iwata Eclipse HP-CS. Really liked it but returned it to Amazon cuz it stopped working - wouldn’t go beyond 25psi 🤔. debating whether should buy another. Maybe got a lemon.
Superb! You did such a wonderful job with that. Anyone would be very proud to have it on display! Well done.
Thank you very much Steve! Very kind. I had some fit and seam issues but over still a great kit after 30 years. Cheers

Very nice straight to the point build video. Fab looking model too! Hopefully my paint job on my Tamiya F-15C will turn out as well as your one has :)
Thanks for watching Brian - I'm sure yours will! I just had to wait for a day where my hands weren't shaking so bad and got it done! Cheers
Very nice job John, I've never sprayed that camo pattern before.😊
Thanks David - I found the colors are more similar than I thought, had to spray a lot of the dark gull/ghost to get the contrast. Cheers
Very nice build! Subscribed!

Good question, if you use a 3000 grit sponge gently that is wet you should be fine. I use that to wet sand primer all the time. Cheers
