Lilly is Australian like Bang Chan and Felix from Stray Kids, of course she speaks English. Honestly Twice was the final group at JYP without English speaking members, since then every group that has debuted has English speakers. Most of the groups have multiple members who are fluent or nearly fluent.

Thanks for the reaction. I became a fan of Lily M. back when she became famous on the "Kpop Star" TV show back in 2014. JYP recruited her from that show. I was always hoping that she would debut as a solo artist (like IU) or in a small group. Nothing against NMIXX per se, but with 6/7 members, it's hard for any one member, like Lily, to really get many chances to release music where the focus is on her and her singing, as opposed to getting 2 or 3 short-burst moments (measured in seconds) in group songs. Hopefully, she'll get some good opportunities in the future to sing and release whole songs by herself...possibly as a separate project, without having to leave the group.
