Ashley’s reactions are tremendous but all credit to Laura and Marisha being so deeply into character to have her be so spellbound.

My favorite part is how Laura shows us she isn’t actually upset and just playing her character by joining in the exited rambling about the implications after he said the session was ending.

Also this is a good video for anyone who still thinks Marisha is the weakest of them as voice actors.
Marisha was clearly the weakest one in the group at one point, but she has grown quite a lot. She holds her own. There are no weak links now.
I never particularly felt she was a weak link, other than at times she seemed to struggle trying to portray Keylith's innocent nature, and how she seemed to have fewer acting credits than the others. But yeah, this, as well as her reveal of her origin (and how she never cracked a smile as the revelation hit the others) really shows how good she is.
I think it's reasonable to see Keyleth, with wildly unchecked swings in personality and morality, then Beau, who is mostly nothing throughout season 2, and believe Marisha isn't very good. I may not like some of her characters (Taliesen's too) but she's talented!

You can just imagine a little chibi Percy popping into frame in a corner bubble to make that comment.
I love how much they all love watching each other play their characters.
Even Sam. who usually is either furiously note-taking or goofing off during other people's scenes, was hooked by the end. I think the last time I saw him pay attention was during the Whitestone tree lore drop.
Imagine if she had the chance to play in the campaigns without any acting jobs getting in the way. Girl would have need a new jaw for the amount of times she dropped it.
Imagine if we had a Dani-cam during this moment. I bet Dani's face was just as animated if not more so.

I dunno if it'll get to BBEG levels at least certainly not with Laudna but we'll definitely see a fight between BH & Delilah before C3's end.
And they'll have to make a sending stone call to Dorian and The Crown Keepers. We're getting a Critical Role Infinity War... (I hope!)
I have an even crazier batch of conspiracy theories:
- _Imogen_ becomes the big bad as D corrupts her relationship with Laudna to the point that she becomes power hungry and the perfect vessel
- _everyone_ but Orym becomes the BBEG squad, and finale is maybe Crownkeepers vs the Hells, or even just the Hells vs Orym and Dorian (and maybe even the most recent guest character, but my bet's on them being part of an eventual evil squad)
This is the most emotionally engaging scene of campaign 3 for me. I hadn't realized how invested in their friendship I was until this happened. At first I was on the nope train to this is bullshit town. And it's delicious for getting such an emotional response out of me.
She's just literally the cutest thing. I watch her more than most of them while enjoying these videos and her reacion here is so good, it was the physical embodiment of all of us at home at the edge of our chairs at that point. Such good moments, and I just love her reactions. Love Fearne!

Wow. Ashley was REALLY into it. That is one of the things that makes CR fun - the players aren't doing anything else when the game is on.

That whispered "You lied" after just a moment of dead quiet breaks me everytime

The fact that there was spreading warmth from the gnarlrock during this moment... Makes me think that Delilah used the magic within to get closer to either coming back or having a stronger influence.
Delilah died with a arm blown off and multiple wounds and then came back whole. She's not a vampire, from what I recall, nor a Lich in the traditional sense... She could be a Lich I guess, and Laudna is her phylactery, so like Sauron, Delilah drained the item of its essence to power up.
Question remains, will she take over Laudna or create a new body?
It's a very good warlock patron and character set up either way.

@@jefferyoneill1 Really? It's been a long while since I watched series 1 of critical role, and it's all very fuzzy, I don't recall her resurrection ever having a answer. She should have had a evil twin sister with a moustache.
How funny I was just watching series 2 again and got to all the stuff about Hallas and his experiments.
Once more, Laura Bailey with the AMAZING improv acting. She saw the opportunity for a strong in character reaction and she caught immediately. "You lied" was an incredible line. It opens up so many conflicts and changes between characters, to be explored and resolved in time. This is what players should learn, not try to replicate the same characters as many cringe players do. This concept is what they need to understand.

What was the importance of this gem? There's 0 context for this clip.
TL:DR Delilah Briarwood (who is Laudna's Patron) forcibly drained a mutative fey shard, causing Laudna to break her word to Imogen but also: DELILAH BRIARWOOD IS UP TO SOME SHIT
The gem was taken from the shade mother, the players knew it was bad, but the characters didn't know, and Imogen had been specifically drawn to it after she grabbed it, and Laudna had felt curiosity towards it. This was from I believe e22, definitely the end of the episode.
