I’ve been dealing with a lot of GHA in my WB20 for a while now. No matter what I did it would come back. Reached back to see if I put that sponge in there and turns out I did. Sooo much detritus entered my display. I think you resolved my issue too!

Connect your Wifi Router and internet router to UPS. If you can also out your Hydros to one so even if you lose power you can still connect to your controller.

My in-sump skimmer starts over flowing when power comes back on. Good thing it’s not plumbed with a cup overflow 😬

Power outage is probably the biggest scare in this hobby!

i have started to try to automate but found too much can go wrong, so i have used smart outlets rather than controllers to pop ato and/or pumps off. I am fighting hair algae massive and still struggling to get my parameters down - still too high - still starting out at 5 months tho; love your tank, cheers

Make a checklist and adjust one thing at a time. For example maybe your feeding too much or the type of food, that’s what I did and narrowed down what the problem was!
      Happy reefing 🤟🏽

I have just learned to live with algae. It's not worth the frustration trying to get rid of it.

Don't blame yourself, Hydros fails lots of the 101 stuff for aquarium controllers. It is ridiculous what it turns on during start up after it it loses power, even turns things on that are normally off.....
    Time to order a 3000VA UPS :)

A small salinity fluctuation from excess fresh water wouldn't have done much. I wouldn't worry too much. Surprisingly, many corals aren't as sensitive as you may think especially soft + LPS corals.

You might regret all those zoas in your tank. That's pretty much all you will end up with.

Slowly getting into other types! Figured zoas would be the easiest to keep for now

@@whatthereef you should be able to do other corals from what I see

If you had a ADJ PC100a power supply this wouldnt happen.
