  • Every touchdown scored by Evan Royster at Penn State, plus long gains. I managed to find film of all TDs and most of his long plays. However, its harder to find film on older games, so I had to work with what film quality and quantity I could find.
Royster ran for over 1,000 yards each of his last three years. He and Saquon Barkley are the only Penn State players with three 1,000 yard rushing seasons. Royster was second team all-Big Ten in 2008, when the team won the conference title. He finished his career as the all-time program rushing leader (3932 yards), and tied for 5th in rushing TDs with 29 (now T-7th).
He was drafted in the 6th round by Washington in 2011, and scored 9 career TDs. He had back-to-back 100 yard games in Weeks 16-17 of 2012.
    Stats
    2007: 82 rush, 513 yds (6.3), 5 TDs 3 rec, 18 yds (6.0)
    2008: 191 rush, 1236 yds (6.5), 12 TDs 17 rec, 155 yds (9.1)
    2009: 205 rush, 1169 yds (5.7), 6 TDs 16 rec, 187 yds (11.7), 2 TDs
    2010: 208 rush, 1014 yds (4.9), 6 TDs 25 rec, 202 yds (8.1), 1 TD
    Career: 686 rush, 3932 yds (5.7), 29 TDs 61 rec, 562 yds (9.2), 3 TDs

Royster is the career rushing leader at Penn State with 3,932 yards. Barkley is a close second with 3,843 yards. We often forget about Royster, but he was a work horse guy. Great player.

Was just a kid when he played.. Lotta guys from that era are criminally underrated (Royster, Moye, Clark...)

You better believe that during that USC game they had two players in their sights, Daryll Clarke and Royster. Neither one could get good rhythm and we lost mostly because of that.

Tony Hunt and Even Royster two of the most underrated running backs ever.

As a Fairfax County, Virginia native, like Evan, it was great for me to watch him play at PSU and then for the Redskins. I wish he could have had a longer pro career. Even was also a tremendous high school lacrosse player. My brother coaches lax at a rival of Evan's high school. My brother said the game-plan against Evan's team was simply "Stop Evan Royster".

Awesome job, thanks for posting. Those bowl games like the Rose Bowl against USC and the Outback Bowl against Florida were tough to watch, had such high hopes for them.

I was real young for those games, and was of course very dissapointed by both.
I remember thinking how it was funny that they made a big deal about it being Meyer's last game, and they had an 80+ JoePa still going strong talking about the retirement of this really young coach

@@409edits I remember initially thinking that we were really getting trounced during that Rose Bowl game but upon watching the playback a few years later being like, "Meh, we didn't get our asses TOTALLY kicked." It's too bad that the next time we met in the Rose Bowl we lost again, USC has remained a thorn in our sides.

@@Klos1neMN dont even get started on the 2017 Rose Bowl... we were the better team and fought so hard to get back in itjust to give it away on mistakes at the very end... cant blame Trace after everything he did for the school and in that game, but that INT is haunting (same happened against Pitt). No reason why Washington was in the Playoffs over us when they were beating up on shitty FCS teams in non-conference and played in the Pac-12

@@409edits And, "Oh man, don't get me started on PAC-12 teams." Our whole conference would make them look terrible, especially at home. You like playing in the Arizona sun? Come play at Camp Randall. You like the warm SoCal weather? Come play at Beaver Stadium in November. You worried about getting sunburnt? A nice game at the Big House will cool you down. Or maybe East Lansing will help you feel alive in the cold air.
Do you blame that Rose Bowl game on Coach Frankin? Man to man, all honesty.

@@Klos1neMN idk man, tough decision, they woulda probably won that game without the INT so that's not really play call. That was before the stigma of his late game decision making, too. The thing with Franklin is I think he's a great recruiter and fantastic motivator (which is as or more important than coaching and playcalling), and I'm glad we still have him tbh. And I guess they crumbled in the 4th, but without that never quit attitude they had that year - which I think was largely franklin and the coaching staff - they never would have gotten back and taken the lead in that game in the first place.
