I’m in the UK & I’m 76! The sound system is great. The Sub-woofer being built in really helps on space. My Beat is a 95PS which is faster with a 0 to 60 in 10.1 secs. In England we have speed camera’s on Motorways and everywhere else now, so I’ve slowed down a lot. The 95 Beat is quick out of junctions & is a nice ride over speed-humps too! My last car was a 1992 Nissan Pulsar GTi-R rocket! The Polo is likely to keep me out of trouble! I didn’t get a Fiesta as they get stolen & the insurance is higher. I’ve put a spare wheel in the back. Not having one as standard is plain stupid. When a tyre blows out having no spare wheel leaves one helpless. A canister does not get anyone home!
I’ve always liked the Polo but the beats edition does slightly whiff of desperation to attract younger people to the brand. Whether it works or not I’m not sure but if people do end up going for a Polo over a Fiesta or a Corsa, I think they’ll be very happy with their purchase.
You could get a TSI version with 90ps but I suspect it would still lag behind the Corsa. You’d have to upgrade to the Blue GT to a 1.4 turbo with 150ps but weirdly it came with less standard equipment than the beats…
@@BuckleUpShow there’s nothing in the glove compartment (that I can see) to turn the airbag off. My partner has a corsa and his is visible but can’t see anything in my polo. Wondering if it’s possible

Enjoy it!
The Beats edition tried to hard to win yoofs with its stripes and red seatbelts. All the other Polo are already cool enough. Good car altogether

You have said it all: I'm 76 and want the basic bluemotion 1lt 3 cyl in silver. keep making videos.
Thanks Norman! Wishing you well!
Seems like a really good car I’m considering getting one but looking at the 1.2 tsi version
It is! The 1.2 is probably the pick of the range as it strikes the perfect balance between economy and speed.
@@BuckleUpShow got an Ibiza fr instead
Oh nice, hope you enjoy it!
On my Beats I have a spare wheel. The subwoofer can be repositioned.
Good for you
I have this car. How did you reposition?? I'm interested in getting a spare in.
The interior is way better than a Corsa, but the 2017 Corsa was available with a 1.4 turbo engine which I know I'd rather have 😅

@@BuckleUpShow The one I'd be tempted by is the 1.4 that was both turbo and supercharged - believe it put out around 180?
How did the Parcel shelf magically get back into the boot?
Shhhhh 🤫
Can you turn the passenger airbag off? I read the owner manual on mine and I can’t locate where to turn it off?
Think it’s in the glove compartment. You need to turn the key

If you’re American, please don’t say mate. It’s the worst sound in the history of the world.

6th gen Polos are better. More stylish and space inside. Pretty much a Golf for less money.
I think both have their merits but the 6th gen is massive for a ‘supermini’ so it’s going to be more spacious
