My earliest memory of the UFC was from 1996 when I was 5-6 years old I'd sneak out of my room and hide behind the couch to watch the fights. The one I really remember was UFC 28 because it was my birthday. I turned 10 so I'll count that as my first main event Randy Couture vs Kevin Randleman. I'm sire I watched a few full events before then. I'm a rare one where I literally grew up watching MMA as it was growing. My top 3 UFC fighters 1. Mark Coleman (Original Ground and Pound) 2. Lyoto Machida (Masterful striking techniques) 3. Frank Mir (Always a brutal finish)
Great episode, I think some names should’ve been higher but it’s all opinion bass, still a solid list though. Rampage & TJ going back and forth is entertaining. Get Rashad or Derrick Lewis on in the future. The Diaz bros would be good as well. Maybe get Travis Brown to clear up these 6 months of dog training lol.
@@fxrdohe clearly didn't pay much attention to the little guys especially since he left the UFC. These guys don't watch every fight like a lot of fans do. I hear that over and over.
rampage is awesome i swear every person he brings up he talks shit about them, then says he thinks they hate him, then says he has nothing against anyone and heaps on the praise before going on an anecdotal roast 😂
On BJ Penn, he started training BJJ, got his black belt in 2 years (back when that was allowed) and WON Mundials that same year at black belt. That's where "The Prodigy" name came from
I think you guys should do a top 30 best fighter list of all time regardless of what promotion / Banner they fought under. Regardless if they fought in UFC or pride or strikeforce , Bellator or any of promotion.
Anderson Silva is the greatest martial artist we have ever seen. Nobody has done what he has in the fashion that he did it in. Unfortunately I think he was his own worst enemy many times in his career, especially towards the end and gets disrespected too often because of it. Also a lot of people don't seem to know this but during fight week before the first Weidman fight he did an interview where he was asked what the perfect outcome for the fight would be and he answered "For Chris to win and be the new best" the interviewer was confused and followed up with "...So it would set up a big rematch?" and Anderson replied with "No, i'm tired"...and then proceeded to go in there and essentially beg Chris to knock him out. He basically threw that fight. I think at nearly 40 years old after being the champion for so long he just mentally checked out. Nobody can sustain that level of greatness forever.
That's insane I never knew that bout Silva interview before Weidman fight but makes sense he not only a helluva long run and win streak but his 16 fight win streak was over inly 6 years! That a average of more then 2.5 fights a year for 6 years no loses but wasn't just the wins it was the way he did it! He finished 14 of those 16 fights! One those fights that he didn't finish was Demian Maia fight which anyone can agree that if he didn't just mock and embarrass Maia for 5 rounds he could've finished him if he really wanted to! Silva striking game has unmatched! His clich game was unmatched! His takedown defense was elite but even if you did take him down he was just as dangerous off his back as he was standing striking! He has a 3rd degree black belt from Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira who studied under Carlson Gracie! Only knock on Silva is he didn't hang up when he should've! After the leg break he was never the same striking as he couldn't throw his kicks or take any leg kicks with that leg at all! Personally I don't have Silva no.1 all time but tied 2nd best ever! To me Demetrius Mighty Mouse Johnson is the best ever! Also think he is better now in ONE then he has ever been! Mighty Mouse physical prime was so much faster the ever ine else but now he may have lost a step speed wise. Yet he's still faster then everyone but bow he is mentally faster than he's ever been which has more then made up for any step he has lost!
Man every single time I think the show can't get funnier, it somehow does hands down one of the best!!! T.J. Dillashaw always brings it even outside the fight game!!! Dope shit!!
@jaxxonpodcast first ufc event I watched live was Chuck Liddell vs Rashad Evans was obviously going for Chuck but damn that started it all for me. Love the pod one of the fastest growing and well deserved
I think Bisping at least needs an Honorable mention. Never before nor after have we had a champion win with the handicap that he had. And he was always a great fighter
First UFC main event was tito vs vitor, UFC 51, been a fan ever since.. Pride was insane at that time. Rampage one of my all time favourite fighters from the Pride days.. Jaxxon podcasts best podcast for MMA fans..
I think for Jackson arguing for easy fights he's right that people want to see the fighter fight lower competition. But the lower comp shouldn't be no name fighters, it's old fighters. Like set up Chuck vs Randy, Tito, old legends. Where both dudes have slown down but still have technique. Jackson going on a revenge tour is where the excitement is at, for example.
I agree with rampage on the chuck Liddell match making, the cards pride and k1 would do with a mixture of big fights and squash matches were awesome, it's like the high level fighters get to display their skills and guaranteed highlight reel ko
Hey guys I love watching the podcast you guys are killing it so many cool guests all the time. Because I watched this podcast I saw the silver Cuban link 7mm Jaxxon I bought it and I'm very happy with this chain great quality.
I really like TJ on these because he demonstrates that the things that make you a great fighter aren't necessarily aligned with making you a virtuous person and a great role model. Too often we conflate courage, drive, and the will to win with morality, that because someone is exceptional they should be a saint. I respect TJ for what he managed to accomplish but that doesn't mean he's a blueprint for how you should live your life or everyone should go down the same path. You can take positive things away from his mindset while recognising he's flawed like the rest of us, and aiming for greatness means having to sacrifice more than your health and social life. You might have to be a less attentive husband or father, you might have to push compassion for others to the back of your mind. Not saying he's not a good guy, but TJ is someone I can respect without putting him on a pedestal.
The first UFC that I’ve bought me and my brother bought was you rampage against Forrest griffin. We all thought you were gonna murder Griffin with a fucking power bomb but thank you for the memories.
Rampage always cracks me up when he mispronounces fighters' names. I remember when he was doing media for his fight with Christian M'Pumbu in Bellator and his constant mispronouncing of his last name had me rolling. Same with Fabio Maldonado in UFC.Lol
McGregor at 8 is ridiculous, shouldn't even be top 20. He was never the best fighter. He had a good run, then got embarrassed by Khabib and was never the same. Now he's just enjoying coke and steroids on his yacht while all the fanboys beg him to come back and give a shit.

Rampage don’t have no clue how funny he is !
UFC 63 was the first ppv my family purchased for me. I was 8 years old. it was bj penn vs matt hughes.
I cant believe adesanya knocked out forrest whittaker and gave him the messed up eye
LMFAO rampage doing the fighters names this is the hardest i have laughed in a long time

Fuckin rampage ☠️ bro said “KACHAKA CHIMAEV” 😂😂
13:25
Rampage not knowing about Aldo is crazy... he was p4p 1 for a few years
TJ wanted to laugh at so much of what he said lmao. Barely knowing who Volk, Aldo, Usman etc are is js crazy. oldhead combined with CTE🤣
@@fxrdohe clearly didn't pay much attention to the little guys especially since he left the UFC. These guys don't watch every fight like a lot of fans do. I hear that over and over.
@@fxrdoHe knew Usman and watched his fights, just couldn‘t remember his name.
Another BANGER! I believe the Jaxxon brand is at the forefront in all extreme sports podcasting. Much respect for always keeping it 💯
You already know! - Bear
This was a great listen. I really enjoy this podcast with this trio
Thanks for listening - bear
rampage is awesome
i swear every person he brings up he talks shit about them, then says he thinks they hate him, then says he has nothing against anyone and heaps on the praise before going on an anecdotal roast 😂
So glad i subbed. One of my favorite fighters hands down
Welcome aboard!
Rich Franklin and Anderson Silva. you guys should get Franklin as a guest.
my favorite podcast man
VOLENMUSKEY😂😂😂😂 I can't believe it..
TJ has great insight

Last question of the interview at the 5 minute mark. th-cam.com/video/KDWJEWVhANg/w-d-xo.html@@ULHgP21
Agree
Thanks for the link man the interview and his outlook were super interesting @@WegaBoy
Might’ve been the funniest podcast so far😂
Tj is so intelligent and stepped away at the right time, protect ya chicken like marshawn lynch said
Man every single time I think the show can't get funnier, it somehow does hands down one of the best!!! T.J. Dillashaw always brings it even outside the fight game!!! Dope shit!!
We appreciate you big time - bear
This show ain’t the same without rampage glad he is back 💪🏼
Awesome session fellas! Keep up the good work
@ 45:45 Hey bro wtf is a "pterodactyl rex?" 😂😂😂
Love the show tho full support! Keep these coming guys these are Forreal so entertaining
This is my favorite podcast hands down.
@jaxxonpodcast first ufc event I watched live was Chuck Liddell vs Rashad Evans was obviously going for Chuck but damn that started it all for me. Love the pod one of the fastest growing and well deserved
Awesome show fellas!!!
rampage should've been on a pod ages ago. dudes thriving
I think Bisping at least needs an Honorable mention. Never before nor after have we had a champion win with the handicap that he had. And he was always a great fighter
Bisping should be on there over Faber tbh
Jaxxon Podcast might seriously be my new favorite podcast.
📈📈📈
First UFC main event was tito vs vitor, UFC 51, been a fan ever since.. Pride was insane at that time. Rampage one of my all time favourite fighters from the Pride days..
Jaxxon podcasts best podcast for MMA fans..
Best podcast for mma
📈📈📈
Jaxxon podcast is taking over 2024. I love rampage and Bear. They are authentic as possible and I’m a huge fan guys. Keep it going.
Let’s go - bear
Awesome and hilarious as always😂 but…look at Gegard Mousasi’s resume. He belongs on that list.
Gegard is always overlooked, he is a beast!
More 2hr plus episodes 🔥
What a Buster! TJ Forever a Buster
Really love the pod
If Rampage needs to improve in one area it’s his current knowledge on mma
Eg not knowing Volk beat Max etc etc that would elevate the game so much
Love TJ on this!! The only podcast that makes me laugh out loud 😂
45:37 wtf is a pterodactyl Rex 😂
RAMPAGE!!! Best Ever!!! Such a Heart and Great Comedic wit, what a fighter and Fearless Dude!
DJ has good, actually great input!!
Can you do a podcast with Cory sandhagen with rampage instead of Woodley? This wayyyy easier to watch
Don't rush the podcast this could be 7 hours long and Id still watch start to finish
Watching all you guys respectfully trash each other back and forth is top content 😂😂💯
1:10 Bro I’m high af watching this I’m only one minute in but that shit got me on the floor I’m dead damn rewatched it 50 times 💨💨🤣🤣🤣💀💀
I remember watching my first main event Brunson vs till , a bit late but became obsessed ever since
McGregor at 8 is ridiculous, shouldn't even be top 20. He was never the best fighter. He had a good run, then got embarrassed by Khabib and was never the same. Now he's just enjoying coke and steroids on his yacht while all the fanboys beg him to come back and give a shit.
Great episode, thanks!
TJ & Rampage is such a good combo
I can see you guys being the number one mma podcast with good time. As big as jre but in the mma world
Where can i find the episode with Machida they mentioned?
Having nate and faber above ufc champs is crazy
Yeah this list is pretty bad but the pod is good
28. Ken Shamrock
29. Joanna Jedrzejczyk
30. Rich Franklin
First event I ordered on ppv was UFC 40. Tito Ortiz vs Ken Shamrock 1
